Well done to the winner – game entry from the trainer.
There’s a bloke in my local bookies that keeps backing Hayley Turner as he feels she is underrated. He is right!
Bated Breath did not look as well as at Newmarket and ran a flat race here IMHO.
I think Hoof It will win group races, but will need to improve again for G1.

ZipMost likely my old man – follows her religiously. ‘She always get it in the right place’ is his usual interlude.

I dont think he needs to find much improvement, but definitely needs another furlong. Trouble is that he is a horse that is always going to be punted and his odds will seldom reflect his chance. Makes you wonder how the bookies ever stay in business!
August 23, 2011 at 01:19 #368921On reflection, you may be right, Eclipse First, but I wouldn’t take a silly price for Hoof in a G1.
As for that bloke at my bookies being your dad, JJMS, it may be….
…but how many old men feel Hayley Turner puts it in the right place?

August 24, 2011 at 22:10 #369127If Requinto is not supplemented for race my tips will be
WIZZ KID 16/1
Though got beat by Blu Constellon as a 2yo this is a smart sprinter from France and last time out beat Prohibit and Inxile both those horses won a Group One and a Group 3
DINKUM DIAMOND 25/1
In this race there be a lot of pace in the race they go off mad and it set the race up for a closer. and at a price i think he go close yeah is form is far away from winning a race like this but i think he can do it.
Last year I followed ‘Picadilly Filly’ ew into this – due to her good run in the Gros-Chene at Chantilly – (no I didn’t post it) who would have given a 100/1 shot any real chance that day?!!
This year the form again is looking quite good – go through the race and there’s winners and plenty placed next/next time out!
The question with ‘Wizz Kid’ can she travel and will she reproduce her run of that day being 5lbs worse off?!
At Chantilly she managed to grab the rail – will she be able or need to do the same at York? The other thing she seems to like a bit of cut so this is for her and you if you’re still backing her?!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WNLLNxURt4He looks to have a very progressive profile, with possibily a fair bit of improvement to come, and if I recall the RP comment/write-up correctly, he won rather tidily.
August 29, 2011 at 10:21 #369434i have studied this race no end and i have come to the conclusion that i have absolutely no idea who is going to win i dont even fancy one so i’m going to go with my gut instinct and have a small each way bet on margot did
You must have been downing gallons of Yakult or something TJ?! – Well done!
Hamish McGonagall ew @ 40/1
Unmissable.Another big up to you Mr!
Last year I followed ‘Picadilly Filly’ ew into this – due to her good run in the Gros-Chene at Chantilly…
This year the form again is looking quite good – go through the race and there’s winners and plenty placed next/next time out!The 1st ‘Wizz Kid’ – 2nd ‘Prohibit’ – 4th ‘Hamish McGonagall’ from the Prix Gros-Chene finished 5th, 3rd & 2nd at York…
It was nice to also see the form from France upheld again yesterday by an old fav of mine ‘Marchand’ in Deauville!
August 29, 2011 at 11:17 #369440Zenjah you still dancing you listening to Elton John
Also how many horses in race like to be up with pace this will be run at a furious pace tomorrow.
Darren I could have said that the ‘Capt’ or ‘Piccy Filly’ might have been expected to be up there…
but what I couldn’t predict was that they would choose to split into two groups having raced throughout the week in a pack! The same happened back at Ascot come the time of the Golden Jubilee – this decision to suddenly split seems to happen out of the blue far too often for my liking!
In this sense we are at the sole mercy of the decision making of the jock on board! – Oh dear JP!
At least in the Abbye it is a case of rail or nothing!
P.s. – Elt was standing! lol!
You should know by now that this is more my vibe!
