    Here’s my spread – 19-21

Are you a buyer or a seller?

Buyer. Can’t even see the British matching last season’s total. There’s Shishkin, Henderson’s novice hurdlers, Edwardstone… and not much else.

L’Homme Pressé is a very good horse but won’t beat Bob Olinger. Same applies to Bravemansgame and Galopin Des Champs, although the Nicholls inmate would have a favourite’s chance in the Festival Novices Chase in the unlikely event that GDC is switched to the Turners.

Probably a buyer. It will depend on the handicaps. Ireland will obviously dominate the graded races. Assuming there are a few Irish horses at least 7lbs well in, they will sweep the handicaps and 23 is on again.

Glad I wouldn’t be so sure bravemansgame won’t beat GDC , his beating of ah segnor is better than anything GDC has beaten

Irish normally benefit from the better ground handicap horses having their form covered up by having to plough through the mud all season. Hasn’t been the case this season, who would have thought they would be watering in Ireland in February. Might not be quite the cake walk that some think it will be for the Irish.

By the way HDLG, it’s Ahoy Senor. Your point’s well made, he is decent and was comfortably put away by Bravemansgame who looks special over fences.

Difficult to be a buyer, since you would need the 4th or 5th race of the final day in order to make a small profit. Also tough to sell at 19 once there is not much room for profit by going low. The Irish will easily have 18-19 winners, but I doubt the’ll have 23 again.
