How about FIDDLEDEDEE, impressive Irish point and bumper winner now with JohnJo?
I’ve mentioned her elsewhere CS but she should be unbeaten – she was very very unlucky to tip up in the Mares Final at Ballynoe, only problem is the trainer
Is there anything Jonjo can’t ruin?
October 10, 2010 at 09:58 #321652No – there’s still hope for her when they up her to 2 1/2m+ mind and over hurdles though.

I made a profit of Fiddlededee. Was trying for it’s life but as you say needs further so I stuck to a place betting. Only got 1.32 but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick
Haven’t be taking the cautious route today though.
Champion Court takes his first step on what I hope will be a very good season for him. He’ll lack nothing in fitness as apparantly MK has given him plenty of work and he continous to shine.
It’s a bumper which is always a worry. I have no idea and I did try to find out how good Nicky Henderson’s is but hit a blank. Things bred in the pink which is a worry,
There’s been money coming for Tim Vaughn’s in dribs and drabs but again no idea how good he is.
Jonjo has Deputy Dog as well and I wouldn’t know how many legs he has let alone how good he is. Never even knew Jonjo had him so he’s either a touch horse or uselss
Penalty or not one thing I do know is they will have to be good to beat this horse if he’s half as good as the yard think.
I’ve grabbed the 7/2 as I would imagine he’ll come in for some solid support if the others turn up looking like brood mares in foal.
If anyone catches this I wish I could tell you to have your goolies on, but there’s too many unknown factors to be overly confident and the betting might be your best guide.

Oh Drat! As I feared beaten a head by Nicky’s and would have got there in another 20 yds.
First two finished 10 lengths in front of the 3rd so both trainers must have been very happy.
Bookies have borrowed a few quid today but Champion Court looks like a sure fire winner when to switching to hurdles.
October 14, 2010 at 19:50 #322424thats 4 winners and a 12-1 2nd from my long list of horses. a few pencilled in this weekend aswell one im looking forward to alot is ghizao in the 5:00 cheltenham. really hope he runs
October 19, 2010 at 23:31 #323402Anyone got a view on Oilily? Won a nice grade 3 at Tipp on Arc day. She has met and beaten some decent opposition, granted that she has not faced anything from the top yards as yet. She won very handsomely from the consistent Ballyadam Brook on her latest outing, and could be capable of more improvement being lightly raced.

Neither Oneeightofamile or Takeyourcapoff did the form much good last weekend.
I’ll reserve judgement on her until she runs up the north in a few weeks (presumably she goes for the mares novice hurdle at Down Royal?). That race usually throws up a decent mare. There’s a good programme for these mares over here – an old favourite of mine, Grangeclare Lark, cleaned up in them races a few years back. Oilily has a similar enough profile to her. I wouldn’t be a huge fan of the jockey though.

Champion Court was schooled over hurdles the other day amd MK said he jumped for fun and will now go hurdling. Can’t wait.. soon get my money back
October 22, 2010 at 21:27 #323942Cue Card declared for Aintree on Sunday. The NH starts for me then…
October 24, 2010 at 13:50 #324277Having seen Silviniaco Conti (FR) twice now this year and he seems to have everything going for him, high cruising speed, good fast hurdler, stamina, acceleration, yesterday’s performance was eye catching to say the least.
There will no doubt be lots of other novices waiting in the wings to make their debut’s for the season, but this fella looks one to follow as he doesn’t seem to be bothered by any going conditions. I would like to see him in a graded contest at Cheltenham before Christmas to put forwards his credentials for the festivals.
He’s definately one to keep on the right side of!!

Quite taken with him myself. He jumped well in the main.
He’ll be a serious horse in a race where they go a proper pace.

I’m slightly more than "quite taken"
Biggest worry today was how he’d jump and CC did that handsomely, even off a slow pace. Beat nothing, but still mighty impressive
The talk after the race was the Paddy Power meeting next & just hope it’s the 2m novice on the Friday as will get to seem in the flesh again…
October 24, 2010 at 19:18 #324340Was it you that flagged up Cue Card in March, Perpetual? It rubs salt in my wound every time I hear his name, having had tunnel vision because of thinking that Megastar was a megastar, and ignoring the advice. He was impressive today; was thinking to myself about all the hoohah surrounding Dunguib, and there was Cue Card just waiting to be what Dunguib promised to be [although I still hope for great things from Dunguib].
October 24, 2010 at 19:30 #324345The form of Divine Rhapsody is looking decidedly strong.
Behind him in the Landrover Bumper:
2nd Double Double has won 2 bumpers
3rd Earls Quarter came out and won a bumper
4th Scoter Fontaine came out and won a bumper
5th Dylan Ross pi$hed in at Galway todayAll of these bar Earls Quarter won bumpers by wide margins.
Divine Rhapsody really could be anything!

Rothwell has a strong hand in the novice hurdles with Ballyburke as well. From what I can remember of the Land Rover last year, Double Double ran wide off the turn and might as well have been running down the main street of Naas! I think Double Double is being aimed at the Cheltenham bumper so that speaks volumes about Divine Rhapsody.
Was Spanish Treasure sold? Liked him a lot at Punchestown.

I’ve been talking him up since March…. but unfortunately only AFTER his 40/1 bumper win
Have posted it here before, but that win was outstanding – winning by 10L+ as a four year old but still looking green. The form’s been upheld (particularly at Aintree by your Megastar!) & think he’s on the way to being top top class
He looked really neat and slick today and as he’s not trained by Nicholls, Henderson, Meade etc, won’t get hyped too much, but personally thing he deserves to be…
