    According to the ever reliable Wikipedia, Notnowcato died on Tuesday aged 17.

    I remember winning a few quid on him when he won a handicap at one of the Autumn meetings on the Rowley Mile. He became one of those typical Michael Stoute improvers. He won the Eclipse in 2007 by racing up the stands side when everything else was far side.

    I think I am right in saying he was Ryan Moore’s first Group 1 winner.
