Yeah, Goodwood is usually a decent meeting for me, and made up for Royal Ascot (again). To be fair, Master The World made all the difference, and a few of the each ways made a dent on The Galway losers. Galway was poor for the second season in a row, but delighted how The Plate went, and offers encouragement for the season ahead. I’ll skip any talk of The Galway Hurdle.

No driving tonight mate, got another week in my idyllic (with horrific wifi) surroundings, and hopefully can have a few drinks tonight off the back of a couple of winners today.

Good luck with the bets today

    Galway
1445 – King Leon, Definite Soldier, Bobarlee
    20p Combination Exactas, and Trifectas
    1700 – Neverushacon, Attribution
    50p Combination Exacta

    -£104.20

I’ve had to back the two outsiders in Shanehills race because the fences might just get in the way. Having a slightly better day today after having an absolute stinker yesterday.

WD with Neverrushacon, I know you’ve had your eye on him for a long time and glad he did the business for you today, you can toast him tonight with the drinks money :good:

I certainly did Grass, and he really due me out of a hole yesterday. I cannot believe he was allowed to go off at 12’s, happy happy days.

Yesterday was probably a good reflection on the week for me……….escaping with a decent profit, when it looked highly unlikely for a while. The only one I swerved was Katiymann, and King Leon, Definite Soldier, and Michelle Strogoff were very disappointing.

Was a strange week, not least because of missing half of the action, and there were a fair few losers about, not least in The Galway Hurdle, and even though I did bet 5 in The Stewards Cup, 2 pull out places at 40’s and 25’s made a huge difference.

I’ll have to wait another week till I go home, but will hopefully find the time to sit down and watch back a couple of the key races from Galway, and also have another look at The Betfred Mile & Stewards Cup.

More staying power than me VtC;working on the garden today to avoid the temptation to turn on racing radio. Exhausted after last weeks marathon. Who was the small time trainer who had two winners at Galway? And is he the one that always gets a Cheltenham winner, too? [need to do some googling].

I’d have to trawl back through the Galway results to get the trainer Moe, and my wifi won’t let me lol

Yeah, 8 days betting in a row, and even though a couple of nice ew’s, time for a wee break

Sure we can just hoke back through this thread looking for the early August posts. No need to use up any megabytes of brain space.

That was the Sternrubin I know and love, today at Ffos Las, and he won it very very easily. He’ll go up a few pounds for that today, but at the same time, he’ll now get into The Cesarewitch easily. I just hope to see him in the list of entries now, and though the trip will be an unknown, he can surely go there with a fighting chance.

Had a few quid on him today (apologies for aftertiming), and I might as well “re-invest” some of it tonight, with these 2 both at fairly appealing odds.

My computer stopped working on the run up to the Ebor [shock horror]. Thankfully got it working again today after AOL advised the classic ‘have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again’? I had turned the computer off but hadn’t dared turn off the router as, last time I did that nothing worked for ages! The thought of not being able to have any bets when the Ebor meeting is on is the stuff of nightmares!!

He wasn’t far away Moe, he was second, and he looked like landing it for a while.

There was a good priced winner called Bird of Prey in Ireland which I’ve missed. The buzzards round me have been making a hell of a din in/near my garden for the past few days and I’m sure I would have had a few bob on that one if the computer had been working.
