Get in there!!!
WELL DONE AGAIN BOBBY!!!!
April 28, 2016 at 17:18 #1243821Don’t worry about it Raymo, Cup Final has more than made up for it.
April 28, 2016 at 17:18 #1243822I was going to back Cup Final purely for the name…but didn’t. Was on Jury Duty. It’s one of those days I think. MsMilan, Ttebob and Thumb Stone somethingorother are all I’ve got left.
April 28, 2016 at 17:20 #1243823Robbie Power deserves some credit though!! For persistence if nothing else.
It was going nowhere a long way out and only decided to go when the horse got fed up of Robbie’s urgings I think!!
April 28, 2016 at 17:23 #1243824I really owe him a pint after that ride Raymo, and also for his ride on Woodland Opera yesterday, brilliant stuff.
April 28, 2016 at 17:25 #1243825Sorry moe, you must be gutted

I’ll be with you on MsMilan, best of luck with her……….and Ttebbob.
April 28, 2016 at 17:28 #1243826PS Raymo, Should have also said well done to yourself and Stilvi with Cup Final
April 28, 2016 at 17:29 #1243828The last time I had a decent winner was a few weeks ago when I decided to see if my ipad thingy was working and backed blind the outsider of 4 and it won….
April 28, 2016 at 17:36 #1243831I’ve did that a few times moe, and it does seem to come in more often than not.
April 28, 2016 at 17:41 #1243833Well done Bobby, I was going to stick with my bet on One Track Mind, but
after winning and as you had highlighted one of my old favourites, I bet
CUP FINAL too……I owe you big time for that. Cheers mate
April 28, 2016 at 18:10 #1243839I have backed two in the 7.15 MYSKA and FLAVIANA but I pressed the wrong button on my computer and have had tooo much on Flaviana. I meant to have 2.50 e/w but have had 25 each way EEEEKH!!!
April 28, 2016 at 18:13 #1243841Yeeees Raymo, that’s the type of bet that comes in, and I’m on her as well, with MsMilan…………very best of luck
April 28, 2016 at 18:16 #1243842Brilliant Graham, it was “banshee” time there again at the end of the race………….I did not see today going this way, after a very “slow” start
April 28, 2016 at 18:47 #1243847After a surprisingly good day, took a chance on Augustin in the last at 65’s, along with Sunni May.
April 28, 2016 at 19:12 #1243848I’m not surprised it’s so bleeding cold outside. VTC and BigG are red hot at the mo
April 28, 2016 at 21:41 #1243855lol, Cheers Homer
April 28, 2016 at 22:11 #1243856Getting out today with a profit, after a torrid days racing, was brilliant, and for a while, things were not going well.
In the first, as expected, I wasn’t able to watch the race, so no opportunity really to lay in running. Having now watched the race back, I don’t think it would have mattered too much. Spaceship was terrible, a real disappointment, and to be honest, I was quite keen on him. Sir Scorpion was also poor. The Brock Inn softened the blow with a few quid each way, but I had put a few quid extra on Spaceship, so very much a losing race.
The second race was poor as well. At least Rock The World gave me a run for my money, and he along with the disappointing Mr Fiftyone were the main bets. Only had a small bet on Jacksonslady & USA, and though USA was a bit of a strange selection in hindsight,
small bet or not, I expected a lot more from Jacksons. Looking back at the race, I could probably have laid Mr Fiftyone for a few quid back, but work got in the way, and I didn’t get a chance. Worst race of the week for me so far.Good to get a win in The La Touche, and even better that it was from my old friend Quantitativeeasing. Unfortunately there was a fair deduction from the 5’s, following the withdrawal of the favourite. A wins a win though, and when I seen he had won, I breathed a huge sigh of relief. Sadly it didn’t make a dent in the money I’ve lost on him over the years. Uncle Junior so nearly got me the place money, but the old boy just missed out in 4th, and delighted to see confirmation that he’s been retired.
In the big race of the day, If In Doubt was, yet again, never in contention, and he looks one you really have to catch when he’s in the mood. Missed this race too, and at least having watched it, I can safely say there would never have been any danger of me laying off.
Then came the 1805, and the fun began. I got in from work just as they were milling around at the start, and with Sykes going early, I had to go for it with Cup Final. I’d no more bets planned for the day, so after yesterday, I had a decent bet on Cup Final after 2, 3 hurdles, way bigger than his SP. Once At Fishers Cross looked to be struggling (another fair run from him) I concentrated on that blue cap, and even turning for home when he was 9th or 10th, I knew he had a chance. That kind of finish is not good for your health, but by god I enjoyed it. He turned a very poor day into a very good day, and I won’t forget that in a hurry.
In the next it was only a few quid antepost on Ttebbob, well after his last couple of runs, you’d be mad to hammer him against any horse, never mind Douvan. He offered nothing yet again, the change of tactics made no difference, and quite simply, he doesn’t look anywhere near as good as I thought he was.
Only a few small bets on the last 2 races, as going into the day, I hadn’t even looked at them, so I stuck with the Harrington runners, and WPM’s Augustin. Augustin had a few quid more than was advisable……….that was the greed setting in again.
If it wasn’t for Cup Final, it would have been a washout, so very very happy tonight.
