    Thanks mate.

Yeah, unreal weekend, and although I’ll still go for it at Cheltenham, the pressure is well off. Stuck more or less to the guidelines I set myself last year, and happy enough right now

Token bets only Saturday this week, and main interest Sunday.

George’s Saint would have been a bigger bet if he had lined up at Sandown, so had to go with him in the lower class race at Carlisle

Must Be Obeyed wouldn’t fit my usual profile of horse for something like The Leinster National, but can just see her running better than her odds

Back on track Sunday with that pair. George’s Saint bombed out again, but not before I laid for free race, and main bet of the weekend was Must Be Obeyed, who I was delighted with, especially as she wouldn’t be my usual fit for something like that

On to the slightly more difficult fare at Cheltenham. Really enjoyed the build up this year, and came out very happy with my Antepost lot. No carnage at all, with only loser of note Springwell Bay who I got very greedy with

Best Supreme in years, and I’m going to enjoy it without a bet, but yet again, it’s a poor Arkle. Champion Hurdle speaks for itself, and I’ll enjoy that without a bet.

    Main interest from these today……

Really Happy with first day, and Happygolucky was an enjoyable one, being a bigger bet. Duffle Coat was a hard one to take, and he looks interesting for Irish National as I said.

Wednesday always the weakest of the four days for me, but it really does look a cracking card this year, and surprisingly, got bets in all of them, bar The Bumper

Supersundae would be a surprise winner for me in The Turners, and same goes for my pair in The Champion Chase.

Midnight It Is in The Grand Annual. Never had the winner, think I’ve maybe had one placed ever, so to break that duck with a Midnight would be unreal

    Main hopes come from these………

Ballyburn I bet a year ago for this, snd I’ve done the same this time around for The Gold Cup next year. Everything crossed

The Coral Cup was supposed to be all about Eagle Fang, but I keep coming back to Minella Missile, and he’s become a bigger bet than I thought he’d be. His last two runs have been poor, but hmmm, I think he’ll win before season is out

Slight worry that one of them will get pulled because of the ground, but Coko Beach and The Goffer would be bigger wins, and think they’re both way overpriced

    Brown Advisory – Ballyburn 16’s (Laid 6’s)
    Coral Cup – Eagle Fang 50’s EW5/EW8
Coral Cup – Minella Missile EW8
Cross Country – Coko Beach 25’s
Cross Country – The Goffer 33’s EW

The Goffer the only real highlight of yesterday, and second biggest bet of the week, so laid back stake before the off. Think he’ll be back next year, and he’ll probably be my only other long ranger along with Springwell Bay, who I added this morning

Ballyburn my other long ranger, but that was abysmal yesterday, and though I can cash out at a loss, I’ll keep it as a reminder to be wary of too many. Managed to get shot of him in king George.

Only other bright spot yesterday was getting a horse placed in The Grand Annual, reckon that’s my first ever

Todays hopefuls, and I’ll definitely be laying stake back on Midnight Our Fred before the off, as by a country mile by biggest bet of the week………

It’s not often that The Hunters will be my main hope on Gold Cup Day, but Allmankind and Ontheropes the biggest bets today.

Also with Nurse Susan and Minella Sixo in The Martin Pipe

Thanks Grass, yesterday was a shocker for me, but some difference from twelve months ago, and he was one of the highlights. Loved that

On to today, and main hopes are………

Sat back for a fortnight since The Midlands National, and just a few small bets here and there, which was a good thing, with not much doing at all

Bigger betting race today with The Ulster National. This maybe not wise, as not a race I’ve got a brilliant record, and easy enough to pick holes the pair I’ve went with. I’ll definitely top up when they inevitably go bigger though. I can see Brazil getting brought along for something like The Galway Blazers

Really happy with Brazil at Downpatrick, especially as my first real bet in a fortnight. Surely more to come. I’m thinking Mayo National or Galway Blazers

Main hope today in The Hunters. Need to see positive signs for Ontheropes early, but I’m hopeful. Annamix is the backup at 25’s

Blue Lord my big big hope for today, and everything crossed.

Few bets in other races too, but very hopeful for Minella Missile too. Jupiter Des Mottes Non Runner

Disaster averted today. As per race thread, laid back Blue Lord for a free race. Blue Lord was a big bet, one of my biggest of the season, so for all it was a terrible shout, it was a good decision to get a free race out of him. Awful run, felt like a winner after getting my stake back

Hoping for better today, and National Runners a bit tidier this year.

Biggest Race of the year, and any of these would be fab

Well done with Nick Rockett. After he won the Thyestes (I followed you on that), I backed him antepost for the National. But was 33s then, same as yesterday.

Thanks mate, absolutely over the moon with him, and got 40’s, which was a mad price. He’s been a great horse for me this year.

    Glad you were on

Tried really hard to have just the one horse in the big one today, but in the end, I buckled and added Dom Of Mary.

Very happy with Cracking Rhapsody on Saturday, and should really wait till weekend, but one horse particularly interesting this week.

Always wary of the crossover from other thread, but I think Midnight Ginger can easily outrun her odds today

Very quiet Saturday, but great racing today, and interesting runners for me in two of the lower key races

    1645 Fairyhouse – Butty O’Brien 25’s EW
