Wesley Ward is not bringing any horses over this year.
The more I know the less I understand.
On that subject, Wathnan have just purchased Sandals Song for this and, even though trained by George Weaver, he looks a typical Ward 2-y-o. The video of him powering past a previous winner round the bend at Gulfstream is visually impressive! We have the usual problem of form comparisons but I was surprised to see him available at 25-1 for this and had to have a dabble!
Sandal was on my shortlist but trainer Weaver isn’t coming over this year and has left it up to his assistant so I viewed that as a negative. Scoots in now.
I like Afjan at 11/1, connections were always keen to come here and he has raised expectations by winning first time out.
