He is the 11/10 fav for Friday’s Finale Junior Hurdle at Chepstow. But according to the RP he stands at Haras de Montaigu and covers for €7,000.
Don’t know what’s going on….
December 22, 2024 at 21:43 #1716089I think the plan always was, and remains, to go to stud but he didn’t do his eligible bachelor credentials any good by getting beaten 3 times in a row this autumn. So perhaps they are trying to polish up his CV a bit.
December 23, 2024 at 15:54 #1716144That’s exactly what they’re doing. This is putting him in the shop window for UK and Irish breeders. Great idea if it works. Not sure if it doesn’t.
December 27, 2024 at 13:53 #1716551Job done anyway. Juveniles look non amazing this year so far. Still time enough I suppose.
December 27, 2024 at 17:12 #1716632British & Irish mare owners would rather go to a Flat stallion who’s never jumped a twig over a proper NH stallion, who’s proven over jumps.
The French have got it right, and I don’t know when we’re going to see it change over here.
December 27, 2024 at 21:01 #1716669Well Luxembourg’s fee stands at € 7,000 and so does this one’s. I’d rather take a stallion that is proven over the jumps and also a G1 winner
