We doing another league this year guys? Had way too much fun doing it last year, still have a few weeks to be fair so no rush.
How does it all work please Ben? Barely know the first thing about NFL (probably never seen a full match other than the Super Bowl). Happy to make up the numbers, might even get beginners luck.
You get to pick a team of players (I think you have about 8 in your starting lineup each week and a few on the bench that you can sub in between weeks). You choose your players in a draft though rather than just picking all the best players. Sometimes it’s done via a draft – where if there are 10 people in the league then someone gets the first pick, someone else gets the second etc, but after the 10th pick everyone gets to choose another player again and to make it fair whoever picked last (10th) then gets the 11th pick, the person who went 9th gets the 11th pick etc and it goes in order like that.
I’ve probably done a poor job of explaining that but it’s a fun way of making NFL games fun to watch because you’ll often have someone playing for you so gives you an extra reason to cheer on random teams/players you otherwise wouldn’t give two hoots about.
It was quite a good laugh last season, it doesn’t all kick off til early september so I’m sure we will get a few takers closer to the off!

I’m used to the football version where they put a price on each player and you get a budget to stop you picking all the best players. But the same player can be in multiple teams so if he does well so does everyone else who picked him.
Hi , if enough people come on board I’ll have a go again this year. It was pretty competitive last time round.After the draft I thought I had the weakest team but somehow they did ok and I was in contention for far longer than I expected.

Yeah that’s bang on Richard. That’s one of the things that frustrates me about the premier league fantasy, you can have really good intuition and pick someone who noone expects to be good, when only a week later everyone else has transferred them into their teams too lol, kind of discourages you from taking gambles and instead makes you want to pick the safer options.
Yes, agree with that. You only get a week of them going under the radar.
Post a reminder nearer the time and I’ll get involved. As I said, no idea about NFL so I’ll probably just go for players with cool names like when I was new to the horses. NFL is great for players with brilliant names.
