Neil’s Weekend Handicap Season 7 Week 1

Hi all, welcome to a new start of Saturday Handicaps. This week’s date is SATURDAY 4th MAY 2024.
This competition will last until the November handicap is due to run.

To all those wishing to partake just stick your selections down somewhere in this topic and I’ll do the rest. You need 2 different selections, 1 for the win and 1 for the EW. I’d advise reserves too, how many is up to you, but remember these only come into play if one of your main selections are non runners that includes if they left at the start and in the way you’ve written. No reserves, then I will base my calculations on what actually ran.
You can amend your selections, if you wish, but if you do then before the advertise time of the race. Also make a new post.

Win choices are at 50 pts and EW pts are at 25 so 2 selections is 100 pts stake and 50 pts for 1.
Ew are calculated at quarter odds.
A further free forecast is given to those who have first and second in either order. The value would be determined by the Racing Post.

Also the best outsider will be noted win or placed. Last season 3 different horses was at 50/1 picked by 5 people.

Places are up to 20 are normal places
21 to 24 are 5 places
25 to 28 are 6 places
29+ is 7 places.

Field size for number of places will depend on the size of the field in the morning papers.

The main race I will look at those on TV first, the will be a reserve race which will be at a different venue.
