£2.00 Portsmouth to beat Stoke – 11/4
Portsmouth
have played ok this season without always getting the right result whilst Stoke hard to brake down are not playing at their best at the present time.
Pompete the bet with Kauto/Leeds was with Ladbrokes online, not sure if you can do it in shops, i was turned down last time i asked.
I had a speculative bet on Stoke to be relegated beforehand but it did hinge on them not winning this match. They did scrape a win but they looked a very poor outfit for most of the game. I would still think twice about taking short odds on Stoke winning any Premier League match.

My Dad is taking me out for a meal tomorrow with his chums from the salvation army, should be fun
Anyway back to my religion and I’m in the crazy mood to not only take on the bookies benefit the correct score but to have a pop at correct score doubles with a couple of combinations thrown in to combat my bad luck.
Norwich vs Brighton and Leeds vs Leyton Orient provide the entertainment.Liverpool even without Torres should beat the Hungarian pub team so that should cover the small stakes doubles, if the reds lose you will possibly hear the thump of my head against the wall, the same wall that is still shaking from Saturday when Millwall got turned over by Wycombe but please dont worry as I’ve phoned the men in the white coats in advanced to be on standby.

November 24, 2009 at 20:02 #260362Good luck Nathan – I hope it all falls into place for you. I admire your determination and never-say-die attitude.
November 25, 2009 at 17:55 #260455Thanks Insomniac it’s always good to have a bit of encouragement, determination and never say-die-attitude
i like that is that what you call an attribute? The doctor once told me i should give up drinking but i told him I’m not a quitter.
Ladbrokes must think us mugs are stupid Man Utd to win 1st half 4/5 but the half time/full time market they have Man Utd/Man Utd 8/11, fecking amateurs.

Portsmouth will be up for another battle this weekend but judging by their attacking performance vs Stoke i think they lack the fire power upfront to trouble the scoreboard against
Manchester United
.
Aberdeen have been quite solid in defence but im taking
Rangers
to edge them out 1-0 but also i am trying 5-0 at 100/1 which is unlikely to happen but in football it only takes a sending off, a couple of early goals or for Rangers to hit top form and Aberdeen will be taking to the cleaners.(oh i hope douginho is not reading this about his beloved Aberdeen.)

Finally
Huddersfield
in the FA Cup against lower opposition could continue their goalscoring form and will double them with conference side
Stevenage
will be looking to close the gap on Oxford with the leaders on cup duty.
Man Utd to beat Portsmouth 2-0 @6/1 – £2.00
Rangers to beat Aberdeen 1-0 @6/1 – £2.00
Rangers to beat Aberdeen 5-0 @100/1 – £1.00Huddersfield to beat Port Vale 10/11 + Stevenage to beat Salisbury evens double – £3.00

Rangers to beat Aberdeen 5-0 @100/1 – £1.00Nathan my friend. Those men in whitecoats need to get to you soon. You really need saving lol!
Actually, given Aberdeen’s result of choice right now is a draw, thats the way I’d be looking to go. And the stats back this up. Rangers have drawn last two visits to Pittodrie and we even managed to get a draw at Ibrox already this season. Aberdeen have no real injury concerns either.
But if you insist on taking a rangers win then can I recommend Draw/Rangers in half time/full time market. Aberdeens strength comes in the shape of Mulgrew’s Corners and free kicks so given these games can be wars with lots of free kicks there’s always the chance Mulgrew can be 1st scorer from a set piece.
Needless to say i do not wish you well with these bets

Doug you got to be happy with that result for the Dons
Your man Mulgrew nearly broke the deadlock with a tremendous free kick 18/1 for 1st goalscorer aswell good shout with that one, very unlucky, i turned over once my bet went out the window but did manage to catch Kenny Miller i think it was miss a sitter which almost went in off another striker.Today’s bet is another double to just small stakes as i not sure what side Leeds will put out but their squad is quite deep enough to see off Kettering but it is the FA Cup so should be good fun and i am staying loyal to Liverpool in the Derby because Everton are somehow playing worse than their red counterparts.
Liverpool 11/10 + Leeds 4/9 – £3.00 double

November 29, 2009 at 17:18 #261190Yeah delighted Nathan. The Old Firm are definitely there for the taking, especially away from the west coast (ie when they travel to Hearts, Hibs, Dundee Utd and Aberdeen). Problem with aberdeen is we will now go and get humped at Celtic next time!

The bookmakers association have told me they are willing to pay lots of money to keep me out of the hands of the men in white coats, cheeky barstards

I’ve got a 1,000/1 correct score double to hit them between the legs with.

Tuesday night See’s goal crazy at home Huddersfield at home to Tranmere and Notts County take on struggling Darlington, County will
hopefully be in confident mood after Cup duty victory and also have the players to score the goals if they click into the gears.Clyde play Livingston in the Scottish cup after Saturdays match was abandoned with fog. Clyde bottom of their division while Livingston have won 7 of the last 8 games and it’s Livi how i feel will prevail.

Postponed yet again, frozen pitch. wimps!

Stevenage came up with the goods at the weekend and are enjoying a run of fine form opposed to Ebbsfleet who couldn’t hit a fine run if they were holding Brian Lara’s cricket bat. Notts County have my confidence tonight to see off Darlington, just the five goals will do.
Notts County 1/3 + Stevenage 4/7 double – £6.00.

This weekend will see my last bet for this thread, so will hopefully finish with a win and end evens if not then i will accept a small defeat and go home with my tail between my legs.
I’ve decided to take on the challenge of correct scores and correct score doubles as with the better odds i can keep a more solid staking system to go with the budget of about £100 which at about £4.00 a week even without a win should see me through to the end of the season and with a bit of luck can maybe hit a few winners.
We finish this thread with West Brom to beat Derby @evens – £6.98

I think to break-even on this type of Football betting is some achievement – Well Done Mate
December 2, 2009 at 13:45 #261776Good work Nathan and Good Luck with the correct scores project. Changing tact can be good to help get a fresh impetus built up. I’ll look out for your suggestions!
