For the 1st time this season i will be attempting to a treble

Real Madrid
have not had the best of weeks losing to AC Milan in Europe and facing the crisis of missing Ronaldo
They use to win games before the winker arrived at the club and I’m taking them to beat Sporting Gijon.Notts County
of League Two have had a strange season on and off the pitch and despite my lost confidence in their defending they still hold a good home record and formidable attacking options(in that division anyway.) to beat today’s opponents Crewe.
Finally having watched Monday’s match where i backed Leeds to win 4-0
i discovered just how wellNorwich
have progress from their opening day 7-1 defeat to Colchester, they really gave Leeds a battle and deserved alot more from their attacking attitude and it was only a very late mistake from the keeper that cost them. Swindon are ok but a similar performance from Norwich should take the points.
Real Madrid 4/7, Notts County 4/7 and Norwich 4/6 – £5.00 treble.

Frustrating, was going to cover the draw when the 1st two results came in, but decided to let it run.

Bolton have done better than i expected so far this season and make life difficult for opponents with their style of play, being at home today could make the difference against Everton.

I’m going to take a chance of Liverpool’s fringe players to beat the Arsenal youth in Wednesday’s carling cup tie. Liverpool’s reserve team play Manchester United’s second string on Thursday so i expect Liverpool to play a good strong side and be competitive even without the likes of Torres and Gerrard, i might be wrong the Gunners youth boys hit Liverpool for 6 in one of these cup ties but at 12/5 i think i’l take my chances.

October 28, 2009 at 18:14 #255882A few days to go before Saturday but I’m taking Norwich now at evens to beat Stockport away, they were 11/10 yesterday and now best priced evens and i reckon that could get shorter again as Norwich should be odds on imo with the recent form they have been showing and Stockport have a slightly inexperienced team.

November 2, 2009 at 16:47 #256767Sheffield United’s form has suffered recently due to a number of 1st teamers being sidelined through injury and i think Newcastle might have the momentum with players returning to their squad on the back of a late win last week plus they should have plenty of motivation being near the top of the table.

I feel Chelsea have been moving up the gears in recent weeks and a win in tonight’s Champions League match away to Atletico Madrid will see them progress into the next phase of the competition. Chelsea to keep a clean sheet was 11/10 so instead of that i think it’s a better bet at 2’s for them to win to nil.

November 5, 2009 at 17:36 #257273A work colleague and Celtic fan seems to think that Celtic are not interested in the Europa Cup and will be happy at being eliminated

Arsenal travel to Wolves on Saturday and imo should to be too strong for their opponents.
Hamburg
to beat Celtic 1/2 +
Arsenal
to beat Wolves 2/5 – £10.00 double.

It’s a weekend full of Internationals so not much to chose from in the lower leagues so just a small price double to keep me entertained with, starting with
Norwich
who continued their blistering form with a 7-0 FA Cup win over Paulton, I’m just glad that Taunton Town didn’t make it to play the likes of Norwich as the guiness book of records would of been in close quarters for a world record stuffing attempt. Tranmere are the opposition and have struggled to date one off the bottom.
Huddersfield
at home will complete the double attempt for the simple reason they play a team worse than Tranmere in Wycombe.
Norwich 2/5 + Huddersfield 4/9 – £5.00 double.

Mixing a bit of horse racing in with the football this weekend as my heroKauto Star
gets his campaign underway, soft ground has possibly bought Notre Pere closer and he will be the danger imo but if Kauto is only going to have the three runs this season then I’m going to be on as he owes me nothing and at over evens is a real fair price as he has course form and goes well fresh.
Leeds
travel to Brighton who beat Southampton last week and although Brighton played well i think Leeds is a different beast altogether and should be too good if on song.
Burnley have done well at home but in all honesty i feel imo that they are punching above their weight and now with the season in full flow the honeymoon period is over and i expect them to start finding life a bit difficult as i don’t think their squad has enough strength in depth so I’m siding with
Villa
to beat them this weekend.
Notts County
have been having a mad season but i still think they have the fire power to get promoted, drawing away to Bury after being 2-0 and 3-2 down will have lifted their spirits and they still boast a fine home record.
Huddersfield
have been banging in the goals at home for fun this season and played some fantastic football in the live game against Wycombe last week the second goal in that match would of been something that Arsenal would of been proud of. Hartlepool have been doing ok but i don’t expected them to get much here.
The only negative i could find for not backing
Millwall
was that i don’t like backing against teams on the back of a hiding but as Wycombe played in mid week there is nothing to put me off. Millwall again another team very strong at home beating Leeds a couple of weeks back.
There is always one team that gets promoted and follows it up with another promotions chasing season and at the moment
Leicester
although still early days in a competitive league look the side who fall into that category. Fair enough odds vs a struggling Plymouth team.

It took a last minute stoppage time Leicester goal to notch up a winning double out of my bankers and Kauto won the tightest of tightest photo finishes so although i was expecting a better return it could have been alot worse.

November 22, 2009 at 11:38 #259959Hey Nathan, this is a bit cheeky

Kauto Star 11/10 + Leeds 10/11 – £6.00 double
I never knew you could this. Can you do it online or do you have to go to the bookies?
November 22, 2009 at 15:58 #260012£2.00 Portsmouth to beat Stoke – 11/4
Portsmouth
have played ok this season without always getting the right result whilst Stoke hard to brake down are not playing at their best at the present time.
Pompete the bet with Kauto/Leeds was with Ladbrokes online, not sure if you can do it in shops, i was turned down last time i asked.
