The horse maybe a red herring as the man in the picture is best known as a cricketer.

October 27, 2010 at 14:14 #324877That’s Paul Jarvis.
He joined Sussex towards the end of his career and did well as an all rounder.
October 27, 2010 at 14:34 #324883Here is one of my first cricketing heroes. He played throughout the 80’s and into the 90’s.

Yeah, I’ve just found out by checking his record that he joined Sussex after Yorkshire before playing for Somerset. I had always thought he left Yorkshire for Somerset…

Not sure if I’m on the right lines… Did this chap play County cricket for Middlesex and Hampshire?

October 27, 2010 at 15:41 #324896No Nathan, he played the majority of his career at Surrey before moving to Gloucs. He made his ODI debut against the West Indies and was run out 2nd ball after being sent back by Mike Gatting after running nearly the full length of the pitch. I don’t think he played for England again after that series. Gatting always was a fat lazy b*****d

Only the criminally insane would do so
October 27, 2010 at 16:00 #324899Haha… very funny Pete.

Will have to have a re-think.
