The most discussed ride in many a year, rightly or wrongly, and not a mention on this mornings show.
It comes as no suprise, but extremely disappointing. If the only Racing based ialk show on terrestrial TV cannot allude to the topic it shows the paucity of it’s content.

She kept asking Paul Fisher the same questions and he kept giving the same answers as he did on the show – basically just say through 35 minutes of the Under Cover Boss aftermath and 15 minutes of tips and £20 free bets.
*SIGH*
August 7, 2010 at 09:28 #311433It was a poor show. Piggybacking off an uninspiring programme shown two days earlier. A guest whose sole concern is about bottom lines, profit and loss, and no doubt would be happy to dispense with the horses if he could get planning permission to promote pop concerts permanently on racecourse sites. The name of the Company, Jockey Club, is a complete misnomer. I bet you Tony McCoy has never set foot in their headquarters, never mind downed a few beers in there.

Sub judice ?It didn’t stop the racing Post referring to it on the front of their edition yesterday. Nor being done to death on here. Surely, it can still be alluded to without fear of any judicial backlash? It has been the big item of the week in the racing World in may punters eyes.
August 7, 2010 at 09:43 #311438Since C4 Racing is now being aimed at non-racing fans perhaps the powers at be decided that they wouldn’t care about this story. What a shame and a wasted opportunity.
August 7, 2010 at 09:48 #311440Spot on Phil , its just not sexy enough for the bright new things they are trying to attract
I dont watch it anymore so its a load of manure to me , still a wasted opportunity to prove to the world that they do actually give a damn
ps can someone contact Glen for Me, as I cannot pm for some reason
cheers
Ricky

I’m a big fan of Terry Norman but I thought he trickled across the line yesterday.
Terry was quick to say he was sitting on the fence on this one.
Then came the race at Musselburgh and Terry stated he thought the horse couldn’t win…..his reasoning was the track didn’t suit the horse and no way would he come round the bends.
Fair enough comment and yes if he is a problem horse a tight track like Musselburgh could catch him out.
Then came the howler……….when refering back to the Newcastle ride and asked if he thought the horse was difficult ride he replied
no I think he’s straight forward
and stated something like I can only say Newcastle looked bad.
However thankfully Timeform Radio is sexy and not like the morning line.
August 7, 2010 at 16:44 #311526Did anyone hear the guy who introduces the ‘programmes for younger people’ on Ch4 announce that ‘the average age of viewers has just shot up to 54 because Ch4 Racing is about to start’. Ouch.
