fancy this to turn over champagne fever.
admittedly it has it to do with the selection on their run last time, but we know minsk stays this far as an irish cesarawitch winner, while i’m not totally convinced that champagne fever will improve for the step up in trip.
in any case 1.3 on champagne fever looks ridiculously short.

January 6, 2013 at 15:40 #425513Winner looked an extremely smart prospect. It’d be a brave man to oppose him in his selected target come March on that evidence. Him and Jezki could be Irish bankers if they avoid each other.
Champagne Fever reported as having an respiratory infection by course vets.
Awful quick diagnosis though. Clearly not apparent before the race and then picked up by vet ten minutes later. I suppose the vet may have scoped him or something and brought evidence to light that wasn’t there beforehand. Or maybe the stresses of the race brought the symptons to light. Whatever it was he went out like a light.
January 6, 2013 at 16:36 #425521I felt watching the race that the front two were going off much too fast. for that reason i’d stop short of getting carried away by the winner, while clearly useful it seemed to me that all he had to do was sit off the pace, and watch the front two cut each others throats, before picking up the pieces at the end.
