Fatally injured in the 3:50 at Lingfield today.
10 years old and hadn’t run for 5 years before being brought back in February to finish tailed off in the 2 latest runs, Not sure the thinking behind that one.
April 10, 2021 at 18:12 #1535720This is a joke. That bloke shouldn’tbe training horses. 57 runs and 1,942 days without a Flat winner and 4,825 days without a jumps winner.
Why does he hold a licence at all, if he can’t train????
May he rest in peace
April 10, 2021 at 19:47 #1535759This saddens me this one went from a good mark to pulling out of retirement in low grade racing for an awful trainer
April 10, 2021 at 23:01 #1535775Disgraceful. Poor horse having to suffer with a trainer who apparently can’t train anything, after 5 years away from the track. Greedy owners….. Makes me sick.
April 11, 2021 at 13:31 #1535868Sickening that horses have no choice but to be yanked out of retirement for total greed.
There should be some sort of rule in place that retirement means retirement.RIP Mindurownbusiness ⚘
Your trainer should hang his head in shame.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 12, 2021 at 00:15 #1535966OK, so this trainer is clearly not very good. I’m a bit puzzled by these comments about “greed” though. Nobody is going to get rich running horses in sellers.
If we look at the Melbourne Cup’s recent injury rates, I’d say there was rather more obvious evidence to accuse connections who allow their horse to run in that race of “greed” than what we are seeing here. It would be interesting to understand connections’ motivations and the background to how this horse returned to racing after a 5-year layoff, but I think it’s very harsh to judge without knowing the facts.
I agree there should be safeguards such as trainers needing to demonstrate certain levels of competence in order to be licensed, and horses passing veterinary inspections before being raced but, beyond that, I believe racehorses should be allowed to race.
Anyway, one thing we can all agree on is RIP Mindurownbusiness, a very sad loss.
