Very good to see the horse win again yesterday.
A very good horse, and one that i have always liked an awful lot.
Full of ability and determination too.
His jumping over the bigger obstacles looked very good apart from 1 mistake.

December 14, 2009 at 21:41 #263876I think Henry Daly said another novice chase and then back over hurdles, probably for the Aintree Hurdle in April. However if he managed to win another novice chase as easily and impressively maybe those plans could change. I think Henry Daly’s stance was that Mighty Man would have an easier time in small field, slowly run novice chases than in races like the Long Walk Hurdle taking on Big Bucks. I think you have to say its smart thinking and good placement from Daly. A similiarly good jod being done with Possol going from Fences to Hurdles I might add.
December 14, 2009 at 21:44 #263880Mighty Man was a pleasure to watch at Hereford – super round of fencing and the only mistake an over-jump.
I hope they stick to the original plan.
December 14, 2009 at 22:43 #263895Very smart thinking by Henry Daly as Doug says; and so long as Mighty Man wins no more than two novices’ chases this term, he’d still be permitted to run in at least one graduation chase at the start of his 2010-11 campaign, rather than have to be plunged straight into either a tough handicap like the Hennessy or a Graded conditions event. Well done that man.

January 27, 2010 at 18:16 #272397Another chasing win today for Mighty Man.
Great to see.
January 29, 2010 at 13:28 #272689Out for the season unfortunately.
January 29, 2010 at 23:57 #272827Yip, part of me thinks (and would understand) if they decided enough was enough with the horse. He owes connections nothing. Then again, maybe attempt to land a big handicap or class one chase or hurdle next season if the Mighty horse responds to treatment!
