Mr Vango probably my favourite horse in training and he would be my selection right now.

Keep an eye on the weather for Mr Vango as he won’t run without enough juice in the ground. (Same applies to Cheltenham & the Grand National). Drying ground did for his chances in the Scottish one as Ayr had the first two days of the year when you would have hung your washing out.

I work in uttoxeter and there was a band of rain swept through during my night shift yesterday.

I would imagine Mr Vango needs another few days like that to turn it in his favour though. He’d be doubtful looking at the forecast.

It’s a poor race with the topweight only 143 but it looks competitive on paper.a good race beckons.

Doesn’t look soft enough for Vango so I’ll stick with Apples Away , no staying question and a touch of class , e.w Galia Des liteaux hasn’t hit the heights this year but her mark now reflects that , again no staying question
