Hi Mr. Bell,
Do you think Brough Scott’s idea of making the King George & Arc level weights races for all; in order to encourage more champion three year olds to stay in training, is a good or bad idea ?
Not sure really I can see good and bad

October 16, 2009 at 22:39 #253674How pleased were you with Mountain Quest’s run today? Will he run again this season and would he benefit from a little cut in the ground?
Was happy with his run and should make a nice stayer next season.
October 16, 2009 at 23:06 #253683Hi Michael
You have a high reputation among the likes of John Moore in Hong Kong, who has been quoted as saying that he regards it as unlikely that you fail to get the best out of a horse, and that he purchases from you knowing what he is getting and in hope that the horse will like a change of scenery, rather than expecting himself to improve it.
How do you see your business changing over the next 10 years in terms of the projected relative economic decline of West against East ?
Do you expect to be selling more horses to race in the Far East / Southern hemisphere, and/or maybe racing them more there – a path that Luca Cumani seems to be taking already?
The Canadian dollar of course has also done well recently against GBP – good luck for Woodbine.best regards

Thanks for submitting yourself to the TRF scattergun. Looks like you’ll escape lightly compared to the last victim

Although I am generally in favour of betting exchanges I believe the current horseracing betting exchange model has failed and it particularly ill-serves the flat game. As a respected flat trainer, what is your candid opinion on the ability of allcomers to lay horses?
