Fortunately I went for the other one in my pick 3 comp Jac, but it looks like
my ante post is down in the Ballymore, one of the owners was sure they wpould
go for the supreme
January 7, 2023 at 15:00 #1630057I took 33s in the Ballymore, I thought they wouldn’t take on
Facile Vega over 2m. He’s always looked to me that he would
benefit from the extra 4f. Bah humbug

POISIDEN
Each way
Doubts about the ground as has avoided soft lately
Ex Gordon Elliott
Has soft ground form from years back.
A big price on first run for David pipe
Almost a free bet at 66/1.January 7, 2023 at 16:42 #1630078Bad luck with the 33/1 AP bet Graham, it’s hard trying to get into the minds of trainers and owners.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 7, 2023 at 16:49 #1630081Did anyone see Desert Sea on ITV’s ‘home schooling’ today? I remembered that I used to read a blog that his new owner did when he left training. Because the Ebor is one of my favourite races I used to love to see what happened to the horses that ran in it year after year eg Nanton. Great to see the old boy still enjoying life.
January 7, 2023 at 17:19 #1630084I have two horses left in my select 3 running tonight at Kempton on the All Weather…
7.30 .. FIVETHOUSANDTOONE .. 9/2
Trained by Andrew Balding owned by King Power Racing snd ridden by David Probert
He has Group 2 form albeit in 2020.
By Frankel out of a Dark Angel mare.
He could outclass his rivals tonight.8.00
SUN KING .. 3/1
Interesting runner for George Boughey and recently purchased from Aiden O’Brien. He’s by Galileo out of a Footstepsinthesand mare and ran 3rd in a 1m2f Handicap at Ascot last year.To be honest he caught my eye as I am currently watching Marie Antoinette on iPlayer and then I spotted the AOB connection so he had to go in.

Fingers crossed I have done them separately to Win and a small double.
@Moe
I saw Desert Sea this morning
Hard to believe how old he is, certainly enjoying life to the full.

I’ve got FIVETHOUSANDTOONE aswell and put him up in my Nap of the Day thread so will probably finish 2nd..
If you go back to his 2 year old stats he finished ahead of Chindit, Poetic Flare and Tactical and was 4 lengths off St Marks Basilica in the Dewhurst. Recent form counts for more and even that has him contesting hot handicaps.Talking of Poetic Flare, I’ve started a poem compy in the lounge, just for fun with a poll at the end of it. I know you are a former poet of the year Jac…

January 7, 2023 at 19:56 #1630101I’m in Nathan..dinner in the bin but poem entered on the Thread.

Oh how unlucky was Fivethousandtoone just now. He was last away, I think Probert wanted the rail but he couldn’t get passed horses so he switched him back to the middle where he came running with a wet sail to grab 3rd place. He’ll win next time with a good draw.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 7, 2023 at 20:56 #1630107He finished like a train. Shame he couldn’t get out a little bit quicker.
My mum use to burn dinner doing her crossword…😂🔥🔥Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026

650 Points – Raymo
610 Points – Andre (Euroalien)Catherine shoots into the lead with 200 Bonus Points scored and the 3 point scoring horses giving her top score
of 1010 points.
Well done.Graham, myself and Nathan all scored with the 3 horses but failed to gain any Bonus Points.
Raymo scored with Al Suhail and Luzuli and Andre managed to find a place horse to win
200 Bonus Points but swapped Al Suhail from his Stable at the last minute forfeiting 400 points.Still early days so best of luck to all moving forward.

Noticed Sovereign Prince won at Meydan today. Interesting to see if he is included in the Godolphin
Stables as he could well turn out at the Dubai World Cup.Noticed the current leaders are on just 1210 points, a few having predicted 2 x Bonus Race results, so it’s extremely close.
Look forward to seeing who turns out next Friday as I have exhausted my stable all in one go, hoping one
of Fridays runners turns out again.Good luck and thanks for playing.
JacPrize:
The winner of this competition will win one year adoption of Soul Train an ex racehorse cared for by Hillside Animal Charity or any other animal of their choice (plus 2 x bales of hay)
Cash alternative £20.
I have already adopted Soul Train an ex racehorse myself so if I should win I will make a donation towards his and his friends Summer hay.

I’m getting swatting now
Thought I’d mention I’ve got a big fancy for Shewearsitwell in the Mares
Hurdle at the Festival. I thought she was going to be a Willie Mullins
“monster” back in 2020. But she took a bad fall after a year off and her
confidence went for most of the year (despite a win in a poor race at long
odds on at Killarney) She took a couple ofmonths off and has certainly got
her mojo back with 2 good wins in November and December.Shewearsitwell 14/1 Skybet Mares Hurdle Cheltenham
January 9, 2023 at 14:02 #1630262Thanks Graham I thought a prize that gives back to the horses we love would he nice..Soul Train is looking forward to seeing you.

I love a bit of Rod Stewart and will be cheering on Shewearsitwell for you in the Mares Hurdle she sounds like a fighter.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 10, 2023 at 10:06 #1630350Thought I’d mention one that I’ve got a bit of a fancy for
in the Lanzerote Hurdle at Kempton. I’ve kind of followed
him for a while. He’s a decent sort and won £56,000 in the
Grade 3 Virgin Bet Heroes H’cap Hurdle at Sandown last February,
but then seemed to lose his way, he wasn’t seeing out his races,He was off for 263 days and had wind surgery before he made a
return at Chepstow last month. He travelled really well until
he ws tiring at the 3rd last, whilst still in contention. Charlie
Deutsch was “very” tender with him after that and he drifted home
in 6th. I reckon he got enough of a race after his break to put
him spot on for this and I smell a plot here. He’s been sliding down
the weights, and I thnk Venetia will have him spot on for this. Still
20s at Paddy Power and Betfair and I’m heading to take a chunk of that
right now
January 10, 2023 at 11:21 #1630361I had adecent bet for me in both Paddy Power and Betfair. Both now 14s.
Still plenty of 16s about.January 10, 2023 at 15:54 #1630396Is it Green Book that you’re talking about Graham?
I couldn’t believe that he was by Authorized running over those
long distances but 2m 5f seems his ideal trip and with all this
rain I hope he comes good for you on Saturday.
Best of luck..

Hope you are well.
Going from feast to famine
Nice winner last night and it is after the lord mayor’s show today. One more selection at Southwell
5.30MEHMO
Each way
Looks potentially well treated having gone to another yard after a prolonged spell with Micheal Appleby.
Originally with Gaye Kellaway and won for latest trainer before going to Christine dunnett mark run down and returned to Micheal Appleby now two runs at 6f and now reverts to minimum trip. Tried and tested route for trainer and definitely an Alexander selection for other reasons….January 10, 2023 at 17:59 #1630411Great shout with Memho, Sam
BigG, I’m a fan of Green Brook, that is certainly a fair priceGaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
