JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 5, 2025 at 12:23 #1741242Right you horrible lot, I expect you to be out of bed and all the studying
for the Arc has been done. I won’t stand for any slacking
I’ve got my outsider on already, although I could definitely done
without the rain. No horse has ever won this race at 6 years, I know
that is against the stats, and Oisin Murphy has deserted him for a pile
of money to ride the Japanese big hope, Byzantine Dream. However, Andre
Atzeni thinks enough of him to travel half way across the globe. He’s
certainly no plodder, he won the Group 1 Hong Kong Vase, worth over
1 &1/3 million, in December. He was 3rd in the Coronation Cup at Epsom
in June and last time out he beat the odds on Kalpana, (going away at
the end) in a fast time last month at Kempton, and that one is trading
at 12/1 in this. He’s drawn nicely in stall 5 the trainer says he had really fancied his
horse but fears the rain may have scuppered his chance. Well fair and well,
but he did run 2nd on soft ground to a decent one of Haggis’s at Haydock
over 1m 6f, where he led 2 out and was only caught in the last 100 yards.
So there is no worry about not getting the distance. So it’s a chance, if he manages it that deep over at Longchamp then he’s
not without a chance. He’s worth an E/W I reckon.Giavelloto 40/1 E/W Bet 364 4 places.
Good luck to you all, from the all new improved BigG
October 5, 2025 at 13:48 #1741257Mines all done and dusted Graham..all selections posted above yours with a few big juicy prices which would be nice if they come in.
Will be keeping an eye on…
Asfoora 7/2 – WIN in the Abbaye, sadly not on ITV but they will be screening it later.
Best of luck to all of us having a bet today….

and finally my friend Beverley who survived the 60 mph winds at Newmarket yesterday sent me this fantastic picture of Fallen Angel coming back to the winners enclosure…
Karl Burke says she goes next for the QE2 at Ascot taking on the colts and will stay in training for one more year so I might get a chance to see her in the flesh at Newmarket in 2026..Jac
Fallen Angel ❤️ Having a cheeky grin on her way to the winners enclosure ❤️

Asfoora wins the Abbaye
What a fantastic win for the Australian flying mare and Oisin Murphy.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 5, 2025 at 16:26 #1741308Just in time
4.25 Longchamp Geography 80/1 e/w Paddy Power
October 5, 2025 at 16:46 #1741313well done Jac with the sprint winner went off 9/4
October 5, 2025 at 17:28 #1741322Great winner with Asfoora Jac, at a very tasty 9/2

Giavellotto did me a big favour 4th in the Arc at 40s.
I actually thought that I had knocked it off with Geography
at 80/1. I thought he might have taken 4th, it was hard to
see clear, but he was actually 5th beaten a neck. He ran a
cracking race though
October 5, 2025 at 17:32 #1741323one final go inthe last at Longchamp
5.35 Just Jim 18/1 E/W Bet365
October 5, 2025 at 17:39 #1741324Thanks Graham and Nick..
I didn’t realise that Asfoora almost didn’t make the race because of a mix up with her passport..with just 5 minutes to go she was allowed to take part..what drama and then she coasted home
even Dick Francis couldn’t have written it.
So disappointed that See The Fire got within a head of winning the Opera.
she was leading past the post…oh well it was a great effort.
Well done with your 40/1 place Graham and again another near miss with Geography.
Have to give a big shout out to Darren who picked the Arc winner Daryz and got 33/1..wow briiant AP tipping Daz ✨️🐎🏆
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...October 5, 2025 at 18:07 #1741331I can’t find the result of the 5.35 I know I didn’t win, but Bet365 have paid
out on the place at 18/1 so a nice way to finish off the day
October 5, 2025 at 18:42 #1741334October 6, 2025 at 15:21 #1741360Thanks Jac, 5th pays just the same as 2nd so although no
winners yesterday, I did well out of it. Just about to head over
to my GP, I might even put a flea in his ear
October 8, 2025 at 13:59 #1741464Well done Graham and Jac!
That is some very nice bookie bashing. I was, of course, at a show so I could only watch highlights of a couple of races the next day. What a great photo of Fallen Angel. Thanks for sharing Jac and thanks to your friend Beverley for braving the weather.
