Well done Jac, Nathan and Sam for all getting some cracking big E/W
wins. You guys are working well together, sharing information, and
getting good returns
Nathan, that’s some letter and shows how well you are thought of by
your bosses and colleagues. That’s one to frame and keep for posterity
I’ve not been into them today, but with a few big priced places, I clocked that
Bet365 were going 125/1 Angel Eyes in the 6.10 at Wolves.
He led hitting the last furlong last time out at Wolves, but ran out of steam.
Maybe if he doesn’t use it all up early on he might snatch 3rd. Maybe Bill has
had a word with an Angel, you never know
January 5, 2021 at 18:08 #1516519Nice 50/1 place there Sam with First Dance.

Polar Fleece virtually pulled up in the last race.. hope he’s ok.

Well my last race coming up ..
Global Response
Hope of Life EWRev Forecast
Good luck with Angel Eyes Graham.
Off in 2 minutes…Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 5, 2021 at 18:27 #1516523Woah Graham I thought Angel Eyes had stolen it for a while but he did that run out of steam thing again.
Global Response saw me make a small profit on the day he won in good style

Enjoyed the racing today and the company. Back tomorrow.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 5, 2021 at 18:29 #1516524Aarrgghh, that was agony. Leading 1/2 furlong out and folded in the
last 100 yards
I actually thought with a furlong to go he
might hold on, then I thought surely he’ll get a place before he
just ran out of steam. As I said before……
Maybe if he doesn’t use it all up early on he might snatch 3rd.
The same jockey as last time did exactly the same, the horse needs holding
up a little, even from the front, or he’s never going to get the 5f. Oh well
January 5, 2021 at 18:31 #1516525Very well done with Global Response Jac, it been a good day for you
January 5, 2021 at 19:33 #1516530
Thanks Graham I have enjoyed today.
7.40 Wolverhampton
Couldn’t let old
Dream Magic go off at 28/1 without having a small EW on him
@Nick
Thanks Nick and I’ll get those Meydan decs up right after this race..
Not long now. Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 5, 2021 at 19:47 #1516531Wow Jac, another big E/W shot with Dream Magic. Returned at 18/1 but great
shout with 28/1. Very well done
January 5, 2021 at 21:16 #1516539It’s been one of those days today Graham when the horses have just run their hearts out … long may it continue.

So as promised to Nick here are the Meydan decs
for our first
Meydan Thursday of 2021 on 7th January..which also is the day that we can start to consider which horses we will be putting in our Fantasy League Stables…so off we go 🗯https://www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2021-01-07/775458/
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 5, 2021 at 21:38 #1516540Tryptych Well done on dream magic he was the sole success in my tricast selection.
Angel eyes ran so well Big G.
Had to settle for Ladywood in tbe last at 6/5.January 6, 2021 at 00:22 #1516551Cheers Sam
Dream Magic ran a brilliant race yesterday.. at one point I thought he might have won it.Nice win with Ladywood in the last Sam and although short priced a winners a winner.

Tomorrow there is just one 3yo race at Wolverhampton and I’m looking to take on the short favourite Batraan who was slowly away last time out and finished 2nd just ahead of Amor De Mi Vida.. think he’s far too short a price.
Richard Fahey has two runners in this and I prefer the outsider of the two..
1.15 Wolverhampton
Andalaska Bear .. 40/1 EWBeautifully bred by Kodiac out of an Intense Focus mare.
Watching her maiden run at Southwell she was eased down after not being up with the pace and getting sand kicked in her face (not the best of starts) but she must be better than that and unexposed could run into a place at a big price.
Took the 40’s EW tonight as felt she will be less than that in the morning. Also Rev. Forecast with Batraan
Not brave enough to attempt the tricast Sam.
That’s my only bet tomorrow hanging on for Meydan on Thursday..
Be lucky..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 6, 2021 at 03:29 #1516558No I’ve not been up burning the midnight oil studying them, me and Mrs G,
or rather as we’ve just watched 4 episodes of The Crown I should say Mrs G
and I got engrossed in series 3 and watched it till half 2 or thereabouts.
It’s superb, but I’m not here to wax lyrical about Olivia Coleman, I was
having a quick shufty over today’s races when I clambered into bed
and spotted that Angel Eyes is back out today, or at least he’s down to
run in the 12.45 at Wolverhampton. He looked like pulling off a place at
least with a furlong to go yesterday at 125/1. If he doen’t run, which is
quite possible I’ll get my cash back, but I’m not chancing that he takes
a slight hold this time and holds on long enough for a place at 100/1
with Bet365. I know it’s half barmy but if I’d checked on the results
later today and found he won (very unlikely) or placed (nearly very unlikely)
I’d kick myself. God loves a trier
January 6, 2021 at 07:54 #1516559Oh don’t start me off on The Crown Graham absolutely loved it after I’d avoided it for so long because I didn’t think it would be any good. What did I know.
I started off watching it back to front with Season 4 as I was interested in the Diana story and I’ll say no more than the actress who plays Diana is amazing.
So after Season 4 I went all the way back to watch Clare Foy play young Elizabeth in Seasons 1 and 2 and then the superb portrayal of HRH by Olivia Coleman in Season 3.
Have to say Peter Morgan has handled some delicate subjects extremely well and the portrayals throughout of all the PM’s Churchill, Eden and especially Harold Wilson are brilliant..you have the treat to come of Maggie Thatcher.
I loved finding out more about prince Phillip’s mother Princess Alice and in the Aberfan episode Peter Morgan delicately tells the saddest story in history and the surprising impact the grief of a small mining village had on our Queen.
Enjoy Season 4 I”m starting to watch it again now.
***************
Sorry that went on a bit…lol
Back to racing and good luck if Angel Eyes turns out again..I didn’t realise but it will actually be her 3rd run in a row so not sure if she will actually take part but she has a stone in weight advantage over a lot of them and judging by her run last time she could easily slip the field. Josephine Gordon booked so best of luck.

I’ll be studying up on a few Meydan horses later quite an interesting bunch with the arrival of some Mark Johnston horses. Bet they love feeling the warm sun on their backs..feeling a bit jealous wishing I was there.

Good luck for today Graham and anyone else having a bet..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 6, 2021 at 08:44 #1516561Morning Jac, I’ve been calling she a he for some reason, I should have
cottoned on with a name like Angel Eyes
I see it’s all blue
for her on Oddschecker this morning, she’s 66s with Bet365 and 50s
elsewhere. I’m glad a snaffled the 100s early this morning about 3am,
I doubt my 15 quid E/W had anything to do with thatYes The Crown is one I didn’t get round to as I didn’t think it was
going to be my thing, but I kept hearing from people that it was
superb, and it certainly is. We’ve still got 2 episodes of season 3
to go, I’m really looking forward to season 4. Whoever did the spade
work for the series certainly knows how to dig the dirt, there were
a few eye openers for me. Anyone who hasn’t yet got round to watching
it, do yourself a favour and settle down with your feet up and a nice
glass of red (optional) and have a look
January 6, 2021 at 10:51 #1516565OMG
Andalaska Bear 1.15 Wolv. has drifted right out to 100/1 they really don’t like her but with just 8 runners hey ho so I did at a price boost of 110/1..well you just have too.
Done a very small EW double with Angel Eyes Graham..we’ll all be singing along to ABBA if this comes up…
Ha ha
New year madness..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 6, 2021 at 11:08 #1516566Angel eyes abba, but also Roxy music.
Good morning. Maybe one from left field to go with those in an each way double or treble.

January cup 3.5 million dollar race
Time warp 20/1 each way I’ve made a case for this one over on my form in the book thread. The bottom line is it ran fourth in this race last year off four pounds higher. Running today off a mark of 113 has a high of 127. Top weight here of 10 runners. May not win but dropping in class and has a good chance imo. Drawn alongside one of the principles. Available to watch on live stream thoroughbrednews au
Racetime 1215
Final piece of my fantasy jigsaw as they parade is last year’s winning jockey is on board 1212 hrsJanuary 6, 2021 at 11:25 #1516567Interesting one Sam hope your research pays off. Will try to tune in to watch..Love the Rocky Horror Show so Time Warp should be an appropriate winner..wish someone would Time Warp us out of this Lockdown.

Best of luck ..
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 6, 2021 at 11:50 #1516573BigG, thank you for your message on the previous page, yes great idea about framing the letter..
I was working for the agency and set off early on the start of a second week job at a meat factory (hated it) I arrived on time at my pick up point but everyone else must have already been on the mini bus as it drove off without me. I ran after it shouting for it to stop, the driver who I thought didn’t like me was clear as day looking at me through his mirrors but got around the corner and sped up.
I got home and phoned the agency and told them what happened and by chance they sent me out to the hospital for one days work.!!
20 years later and I’m still there albeit down to 15 hours on early mornings but it suits me with my fingers in other pies and I’d never leave.
