Cant figure out why King of Rome is favourite for this. The fact Ballydoyle are trying to nick a Group 3 with him at this time of the year suggests he’s as average as his form says he is.
Mustameet looks regressive given his form of 2 years ago, his Listed win in June looks a weakish race.
Handicapper King of Westphalia is in there to presumably make the pace for King of Rome which will also suit the admirable Lord Admiral. Lord Admiral, seems as well as ever this year, he had a great carnival and has some serious recent formlines through good Group 1 horses, form way above his 2 market rivals here plus he likes Leopardstown. I’ve started hoovering on BF, 5/2 or more good value imo.
July 24, 2008 at 11:34 #174564Lord Admiral has to give King of Rome over a stone.

I guess AOB will have some idea of KOR’s chance as Lord Admiral was beaten 3l by Plan last time out. Not a race I would bet on.
July 24, 2008 at 16:39 #174609KoW is a real hard-puller so I think KoR may make his own running. The trip is probably at the outer stamina limits of the other two but 7/2 Lord Admiral is a big price.
