He’s just been on five live talking about his injury. He sees the doctor tomorrow about whether he can ride again anytime soon.
He stated it was entirely the doctors decision, however if was up to him he would ride. He is confident that the "freezing" has helped speed up his recovery and thinks that the doctor will be pleased with his progress.
February 24, 2008 at 10:12 #146012I hope he can, especially given the conditions that he has put himself under in recent weeks.
February 25, 2008 at 13:14 #146361February 25, 2008 at 13:16 #146363I hope he is fit – he kind of owes us after consenting to all those homoerotic pictures in the Racing Post last week…
February 25, 2008 at 13:19 #146365Really glad about McCoy – any news on Graham Lee’s progress?
February 25, 2008 at 13:24 #146368It speaks volumes for the robustness of jockeys that he even tried to get fit for Cheltenham… it scares me how tough jockeys are (comparison to footballers is begging to be made)
Thought we were going to have a repeat on Saturday when Ruby got his kick!
February 25, 2008 at 13:40 #146375McCoy is super human

When he went into the ice cold freezer (or whatever it’s called) he heard that a professional footballer holds the record for lasting the longest in it. McCoy instantly set his sights on beating the record – I wouldn’t be surprised if this nine stone superman did it

February 25, 2008 at 14:35 #146391Before everyone gets too excited, he has only been given the all clear by his own surgeon.
He still needs to get past the BHA medical team and there is a chance they may well request an independent medical report.
So although it is good news, he isn’t quite back yet.
February 25, 2008 at 16:59 #146430I’d bet a bit of 2s on Paul….
