So CAS, you say there is a stage devoted to politics called the ‘left field’.
WTF is that all about at a music festival?? Is it used much?Has it been there long? Was it there for a particular occasion and decided it was some kind of good idea to use it again?
June 26, 2022 at 19:57 #1604389I didn’t much like the song selection but did admire McCartney for seeing it through so well. I was pleased ‘Something’ seemed to get a good reception.
McCartneyism then, no need for reds to hide under the bed here.
Back to cows letting rip shortly. Hope that troubles Greta.

June 26, 2022 at 22:40 #1604398Left to my own devices
O m g
June 26, 2022 at 22:47 #1604399This is a visual treat as well as an audio one. Absolutely brilliant.
Get on iPlayer now anyone who isn’t watching this.
June 26, 2022 at 23:08 #1604400I’m getting texts from a good few I know too
Everyone’s going to be talking about this absolutely stunning set
Speechless
June 26, 2022 at 23:10 #1604401It’s a sin
Bloody hell
June 26, 2022 at 23:13 #1604402£280 a ticket and if I saw nothing but this and Macca and had to spend the rest of the weekend asleep in a portaloo I’d leave happy.
June 26, 2022 at 23:21 #1604403Me too
Boring fact. Chris lowe turned up and almost joined a flat share with mates of mine In Richmond. Early days of course
But this is a performance of a lifetime. By anyone
And think what they didn’t play too
June 26, 2022 at 23:28 #1604405Being boring. Their greatest moment for me
What a finale.
A truly beautiful incredibly moving piece
June 26, 2022 at 23:29 #1604406Anyone who can play that hour and a half and still leave stuff out must be good.
June 26, 2022 at 23:41 #1604408It was spectacular and infused with energy but he still made it intimate too. Brilliant
The lyrics still grab you time after time
“But I thought in spite of dreams you’d be sitting here with me”
Damn …..
It shot past.
June 27, 2022 at 05:16 #1604413There going to struggle to top the lineup next year ….PSB are brilliant , it still blows my mind they actually opened for a Take That your once …..up there with Hendrix opening ( and being booed ) for The Monkees !!
June 27, 2022 at 09:08 #1604414I don’t see how they can. Ive yet to watch Maccas set but I still coming down from the psb
I honestly thinK that’s the most brilliant set I’ve seen by anyone..
Anyone have their highlights? Almost impossible but the energised left to my own devices was quite something
We knock this country too often but the creativity here is world class. And what is the worlds number one music event too
June 27, 2022 at 09:21 #1604415McCartney and PSB are both on iplayer. Looks like the full sets judging by the length.

Loads more on there too, I’m sure they never used to put this much of it on.
June 27, 2022 at 11:34 #1604420Sorry but if this arena is going to be used as a political voice by the lefties, they can shut the gaff down next year as far as I concerned.
Imagine a stage for the right, you wouldn’t hear the last of it. In fact there would be trouble which would let the world know who the real trouble makers are, the cancel people.
Was Steve Bray there? Wouldn’t be surprised!
June 27, 2022 at 13:45 #1604428I’m watching it over and over richard. It’s almost better each time
I’ve seen a helluva lot of concerts and footage over the years but for me this has never been surpassed
Key to the stunning left to my own devices is the funk driven keyboards and drumming going forward in the mix. Breathtaking. I can barely recall a act reworking a hit so remarkably and effectively.
