    Farewell to one of the true legends of Australian horse racing. At least she lived to a good old age.

    I didn’t realise at the time what an achievement it was to win the Cup three years running. What a wonderful racemare she was and good that she had such a long and happy retirement.RIP. Legend.

    Freedman’s interview after the 3rd win was great ” go out and find the smallest child on course today , because that is the only person who might see this done again because none of us will ” .

    RIP to a wonderful and ultra tough racehorse. Between her first and third Melbourne Cup wins from November 2003 till November 2005 she ran another 21 times!!!! and won seven of them.
    There was no way connections would wrap her in cotton wool or keep her away from competition. She carried 9-2 when winning her third Melbourne Cup…..
