Hello forum;
I have been watching and reading this forum for many years now and thought i would pose a question and some opinions are welcome.Lucy Alexander has impressed many people this season and is beginning to get some good rides for top trainers (Ferdy Murphy, Martin Todhunter and Alan Swinbank to name a few).
How likely do you guy’s think that she’ll get a few rides at the Cheltenham festival or Aintree festival come to that? It would be great to see her getting some decent rides and not just on outsiders/no hopers.
Fingers crossed that she breask Nian Carberry’s 39 wins for a season record!
Thanks,
GaryFebruary 23, 2012 at 19:02 #393244Welcome to the forum Cuddy Dale.
I think you’ll find lots of Lucy fans in these parts!
February 23, 2012 at 19:21 #393248Outside chance she’ll be on De Boitron in the Grand Annual, although I think that’ll possibly go to Keith Mercer.
February 23, 2012 at 20:37 #393275Shame Graham Lee won’t be there…. Yes, either Alexander, Mercer or McCarth…the young John Winston is quite promising though.
February 23, 2012 at 23:55 #393308Ferdy Murphy will no doubt have a few in the handicaps, and with Graham Lee injured, she should get a few decent rides.

Informed sources say that’s doubtful. Keith Mercer is injured at the moment as well.
February 24, 2012 at 19:19 #393418Tony Kelly is another…perhaps he may enlist the services of someone else for DB however, with more experience perhaps…?

And with Kalahari King running in the same colours it seems likely a more experienced head would be required for both
February 29, 2012 at 14:49 #394190It would appear others know more than me! Lucy Alexander will be riding De Boitron in the Grand Annual
March 1, 2012 at 00:25 #394267Any chance she will get the ride on Going Wrong in the Centenary Novices Handicap Chase?
March 1, 2012 at 11:25 #394296I thought Lucy Alexander had an outside cahnce, but AP McCoy has been given the ride on Divers.

I doubt it
March 2, 2012 at 23:24 #394603You never know re Going Wrong.
Here’s for Red Tanber tomorrow and for Cheltenham maybe?!
March 3, 2012 at 08:26 #394617She won’t be on Going Wrong, but she will be on Charingworth, Riguez Dancer if he gets a run, and De Boitron, who has now been backed into 10/1 second fav for the Grand Annual
March 3, 2012 at 20:34 #394732….and maybe Red Tanber, who has been shortened after his win at Kelso today for the Jewson from 200/1 – 33/1 in places!
March 3, 2012 at 20:41 #394733Possibly a trifle optimistic regarding Red Tanber, but there won’t be many better jumpers at Cheltenham and he’s still improving.
March 3, 2012 at 23:28 #394749Lucy Alexander keeps getting better. Several really good rides today on Jet Master, Red Tanber and, notably, on Four Fiddlers.
It’d be fantastic if she were to win or get into the frame at Cheltenham. De Boitron could be the one
