I back Enbiharr last time out when she won easily in a three runner race, my only concern is the ground because she likes it on the firm side but with the sun out today the ground is drying out. The Met Office forecast is for it to stay dry this evening, overnight and until 1pm where there is a slight chance of a light shower. Going changed today from good to soft, good in places, to good, good to soft in places at 11.39am and I am hoping by tomorrow it’s good going all round. I have backed her 11/4 and 5/2.

If ever a horse deserves a win like this its nayef road

He should be favourite really having finished miles clear of the third in the gold cup and splitting stradivarius and santiago at goodwood

    5/2 will do me

I was torn between Enbihaar and Nayef Road. Jim Crowley her jockey said she will stay the extra 2 furlongs and it’s only a matter of time before she wins a Group one race.

I’m torn between the front two as well, so will sit this one out, but quite an interesting race here for a Cup race, which isn’t always the case.

I took a lot from Dashing Willoughby at Sandown last time. I’d give him a live chance here at 4-1.

Dashing Willoughby being backed as though defeat is out of the question

Hopefully the market is underestimating nayef road again, just like last time when he was available at 6/1-7/1 in the without strad market

Id love to know the direction of the wind as if there’s a tail wind and nayef road gets an easy lead he will take some pegging back

The going at 6am was good except for 2 furlongs what could change by the time racing starts. I am happy with that to give my horse a good chance.

So nayef road drifts all day (despite plenty being matched on betfair, more than the gambled on dashing Willoughby in fact) then completely misses the start

And finds absolutely nothing in the final furlong which is very very unusual for such a tough stayer

May be pocket talking but something stinks about that to me

    Anyway rant over hahaha

    well done winners :good:

Enbihaar is a beautiful moving mare

Youd have to think she will take all the beating on champions day with stradivarius going to the arc

She done it on ground what isn’t her favorite. Strange betting with Dashing Willoughby going favorite and right near the off the money came for Enbihaar.

    Nayef Road did ok.

But after today it confirms to me that he’s not as good at York. Before today he was 5th of 5 snd 6th of 8.

He needed to get to the front

His chances ended at the start, hes not fast enough to be passing horses

I’d be very surprised if Enbihaar goes to Champions Day thats only a Group 2 she needs to get a Group 1 on her CV and the better prize money and the Group 1 opportunities lie in France
