Perhaps not the strongest entry ever for this, but a very decent looking race at this stage…..

Chance I’ll sit this one out, and if I do, I’ll be shouting on my old pal Sam Spinner. Great chance on his Cheltenham run, but his flop in this last year is still fresh in the memory, though I’m very hopeful he’s back on track now.

There’s a chance that William Henry is being underrated here, and I’m surprised to see him open as big as 12’s.

I also like the Skelton pair, and both look attractively priced. Roksana obviously had a bit of luck at Cheltenham, but she was still in process of running a big race, while Aux Ptit Soins is hopefully better than we seen in The Cleeve, and might have been a wise move swerving Cheltenham.

Final one on my list, is a horse I always give a bit of time to, and it’s Sykes. His form certainly tailed off last season, but he’s generally a reliable sort, and I think he looks a better horse this year. Ground should be ideal, and the price of 33’s is very tempting.

No bet yet, but no harm in a quick shortlist, and if I do bet early, it will be one of these. I can leave Roksana just now, as if I did bet her, I’d happily bet around 4’s on the day, and this trio certainly look overpriced right now…..

    William Henry 12’s
    Aux Ptit Soins 20’s
    Sykes 33’s

Rule no1 for aintree is to look for the horses who missed Cheltenham , after his first runs of the season setting spinner sweet again it must go down as some of the best training of the season , to get him to finish 2nd in the stayers after looking totally scunnered with the game

Agreed, and regardless of any bets I’d do in this, I’ll be cheering him on.

If Apples goes here she wins for me.

A tricky race to bet e/w and take her on.
Supasundae arguably at his best trip, Roksana ran very well here as a novice + has been primed for a Spring campaign. Wholestone…William Henry.

    One to avoid!

I don’t know if I would be putting a bet on here, but I did think that Wholestone at 14-1, and The Worlds End at 20-1 were both attractive prices.

I think that getting close to Benie Des Dieux Before her spill, is enough for me to side with Roksana. 8-1 looks a big price

Still no money down here, but William Henry and Sykes still on the shortlist for me.

Veering towards Sykes ew, and William Henry win, but as I want Sam Spinner to win, it might make sense to sit it out, but I will side with something tonight.

I like if the cap fits in this race up in trip

Though with apples jade in the field and given how many front runners have been winning it is only a medium sized bet

I’m hoping that apples jade and Sam spinner will cut each others throat up front

I am on the same two as Kris for this WHOLESTONE 18/1 and THE WORLDS END 25/1

But if the real Apples Jade turns up she will be tough to beat!!

If the real apples jade shows up she could easily win by 10 lengths against these

Sam spinner had a very hard race at cheltenham and it will be very tough for him to run to that level again

Just cant bring myself to back her so soon after what happened at cheltenham

She’s a superstar , as long as she’s over what ever she had at Cheltenham she,ll win

That she ran badly at punchestown after cheltenham last season just really puts me off too

I want to have a bet here, but I just can’t go against Apples Jade + I will enjoy this with my money in my pocket.

I would be most disappointed if she didn’t win.

    I can’t resist have an e/w on Unowhatimeanharry at 28/1 4 places.
I just love the old horse, and he’s had a good break so maybe he can have
one last hurrah. A place would be great, but I’d settle for him coming through
this safely, and I’d expect him to retire at the end of the season, he owes
    them (and me) nothing.
