Betting a loser in this has became a bit of a Christmas Tradition for me, and got a few mind to keep that tradition going
Key race for me is from Carlisle at the start of the month. O’Connell broke my heat, holding off Fortunate Man, who I’d threw a few quid at. I’m a big fan of Fortune Man, so I’m marking up that win by O’Connell, who showed great attitude in holding him off
It’s another horse though from that race who actually tops the shortlist, Crosspark. I know he’s pushing fifteen, but he went well for majority of that race, and eased down three pounds with step up in trip sure to suit, I think he can go well
The Wrekin completes the shortlist, and be interested to see if Daly calls on Alice Stevens with the claim
There’s occasionally an Antepost Market for this, and if there is, I’ll have an early bet on Crosspark

I’ve had a nibble on Inis Orr. Currently a stand out 15/2 with 365 where it’s no higher than 5/1 – but generally lower – with the rest.
I’ve went with Giovanni Change in the end. No real encouragement from recent spins over timber, but really knows his way round here, and ran well at this meeting twelve months back.
Not really a race for two, but Crosspark will have to be backup. It would be annoying if he did it, and I missed out
