Limerick Race Distance 1 mile?

I was just checking my standard times and noticed that at the last meeting at Limerick 17th June 2011 the normal race distance of <b>1m 50y</b> was run at 1m.

The meeting that was run on the 11th June 2011 was run at 1m 50y.

I have just emailed Limerick racecourse to ask about the new distance.

50 yards makes a big difference to anybody’s speed figures <!– s:shock: –><!– s:shock: –>

It is not a permanent race distance, because of the racing line we were using we had to start from the 1 mile post.
