I’ve no idea what was on Tank’s mind when he wrote what he wrote and it is possible you have not interpreted it as he meant it to come across.
But his first concern should have been for your upset, not his own self centred sense of being accused (unjustly, he claims) and tbh that tells you (and everyone) all they need to know about him.
