I think he broke his leg as he landed – similar to poor Boss Robin recently…Much sympathy to connections …
March 25, 2025 at 16:38 #1724827Horrible to watch, especially as the horse was still standing and NOT behind the screens when they approached the obstacle again and then as they went by it, you saw the horse falling to the ground.
At least it only took them one circuit to put Langley Hundred down, but it should be handled better. TV viewers shouldn’t see that kind of thing. Commiserations to connections.RIP Langley Hundred
March 25, 2025 at 17:13 #1724833To be fair to the staff we don’t know what happened … I suspect the screens were up correctly and the horse somehow moved as he was definitely on the left hand landing side when it happened and then over on the right as the field went by … I think the handlers etc would be more concerned to help the stricken horse quickly … he must have been very distressed …
