Looks like a change of strategy at Ladbroke. They have rejoined oddschecker and are being more competitive on price. For example today they are best price until noon among big bookies on all runners at Cheltenham.
In the 14.55 18 runner handicap today their place book is overbroke. Strange behaviour in my view, but you are welcome to see and bet for yourself.

They’re all generous – until you go in and ask them to lay their prices; Ladbrokes particularly.
November 13, 2011 at 22:49 #377756Indeed Reet – that said they’re businesses not charities.
Can’t be as bad as Boylesports either – they won’t even let me talk to the lovely Sinead in the call centre anymore
November 14, 2011 at 02:43 #377780Wouldn’t lay you a bottle of Chivas Regal to a bottle of Irn Bru. Competitive my backside.
November 14, 2011 at 11:00 #377803I’ve closed my account with them and bannned myself from the local shop, I backed the winner of a Group 3 race in France
when I went to pick up my winnnings, I was told there was no market for that race, only my stake back, so I threw my toys as far as could, collected a counter payment by closing my account, I have no time for a bookie that has no market for a G3 race.

A few weeks ago, I walked into a Ladbrokes shop to place a bet at 9.01 a.m., only to be told the price had gone, so a couple of weeks later I went to a different shop that opened at 8.30……. to be informed they couldn’t get prices on their screen until 9.00.
Would be laughable, if they weren’t so pathetic.November 14, 2011 at 13:28 #377828Can’t get a bean on online, but have always found them fair in the shops
