Having spent the week at Cheltenham I decided to make the trip north to Wetherby on Saturday.

I was astonished at the amount of withdrawls and I went and made a complaint about it, but as you would expect, it fell on deaf ears and I was informed by a man in the admin office that the going stick stick showed the going to be good to soft in the morning and as far as he was concerned it had not changed. He told me that the trainers did not agree.
What a way to run racing.
If you pay for something that is advertised surely you are entitled to it. Still that little rant over.

I watched D. O’Regan ride to storming finishes on Santa Stefano (just won) and Whispering Death (just lost). He really got stuck in to both horses.

The ride he gave Knockvilla was in stark contrast when he hardly resorted to the whip and the ride can only be described as tender.

I can only assume they are keeping it for Liverpool, however IMO it was not ridden for the best possible placing.
By the way it was not my pocket talking as I did not have an interest in the race, but there was a good number of racegoers that I spoke to who had backed it who were understandably aggreived by his ride.

Still there was a lot of drunk parties there spending their money so who wants the proper racegoer who is interested in the racing.

    Silly me.
By the wat i am writing to the BHA about the withdrawls as I would like part of my entrance fee refunded.

I was their with Pudding senior munching on cottage pie in the annual members bar.
The ground was good on the back stretch and fast on the home straight, their was no mosioter in the ground, we have not had any rain up for ages so it was not soft by any stretch.

One of Johnsons horses won then promptly pulled up lame.

The withdrawn horses did put a damper on the day abit. We left before the two runner chase.

On Channel 4 they were thinking that something had gone wrong with the horse after the last and that is why the jockey didn’t go full out.
