hi guys,
before i start i am new to this racing forum but have been involved with horseracing for 15 years. i occasionally get some live info from owners as a few of my friends have horses in training.
the first 1 i am going to list on this site is a horse called cheating chance which runs in the 2.30 at ascot.
this horse was bought private for a wopping 250,000. it started its career with N G Richards and was pulled up with 2 dissapointing runs in novice hurdles, it was later discovered the horse had a breathing problem which was operated on when it joined andrew turnell. his first run back on the track was in a cl4 chase where he made mistakes with his jumping but finnished 5/16. next time he ran he run in another class 4 chase where again mistakes cost him when he joined the winner at the 10th he stumbled and fell. next time out he finnished 2nd to a Paul Nicholls hot pot.next the owner and trainer decided to put him back over hurdles as they knew the breathing op had worked april 08 novice hurdle he won easilly then was given time to mature. last time out 25th oct 08 back to chasing he won with something in hand to land a cl3 hc chase.
i know this is a harder race tomorrow but this horse is unexposed and is a real eye catcher on the way it returned to chasing and knowing it has matured really well over the past 12 months. 1 down fall to this is the jockey mark grant i really cant understand why the owner martin tedham persists in booking this jockey he is a liability and has only won on stearing jobs.with the turnell stable in such good form i think this horse has what it takes to land this. get on and enjoy. keep watching this space i get tons of info..

first of all,hi kj and well done with this one!i am also quite new here, but also a big fan for a long time.the only thing i cant understand is your harsh criticism of mark grant.of course, everyones got the right of a free opinion, but i honestly cant see any real reasons for that.this young guy has brains and balls all the same, and i think,he has a very good future! good luck today,
andy

he probably will have a bright future but i would much prefer to see a more experienced rider on the turnells horses. for one reason i bet one of his a couple of weeks ago called high jack which would of won easilly if it had had a good jockey on board, it did win but i think it was the horses class that won him the race. mark grant nearly fell of 3 times during the race, he lost his irons on the flat and makes the horse do all the work, he doesnt get a horse into a rythm approaching a fence or hurdle where most experience jockeys approach a fence and ask them to jump he sits motionless. he is a very lucky young lad who has the pleasure of a wealthy business man with horses in the stable who keeps putting him up. i respect what you are saying but i think at the moment he still has a lot to learn before he should be running in the big races ie the paddy power gold cup.

todays info is for a horse that runs at sedgefield today called overlady
runs in the 3.20 with a good 5lb claimer harry haynes which gives him 10st2 on heavy ground which the horse loves. overlady is reported going very well at home and with trainer james ewart bagging 2 winners the other day and a 3rd his stable is ready to start winning as it was also this time last year his horses were winning at good prices..good luck guys.

One thing I’ve noticed about James Ewart is that his schooling of his steeplechasers is excellent. Ewart will get a favourable in the North’s Notes post I shortly lodge regarding the last Catterick meeting. His chasers know their job when they come to the racecourse. OVERLADY came out of point-to-points. She was unlucky when unseating at the first on her debut under Rules, since she was knocked into, but ran a decent second in a maiden Hunter event at Hexham, the latter suggesting she’ll have no problem with this trip.

yes his new racing gallop is fantastic and is the only one of its kind in the whole country. i live in the same town as the stable and know most of the work staff there who put 110% time and effort into the horses. james holds a very bright future who i can see competing with the best in a couple of seasons.
