He’s been around forever but is now off to the British Racing School to teach a new generation. Great he’s retiring sound and here’s wishing him a long and happy retirement!

Here Here! Not many Group 1 winning 2 year olds last so long on the track. They are usually rushed off to stud at 3 or 4.

Wasn’t he rushed off to stud [unsuccessfully] at 2?

It was a couple of years later and, yes, he didn’t make it as a stallion so returned to training. Crying shame really given his durability.

Good news Kingsgate Native is having a worthwhile retirement.

Remember him doing me a big favour as a two year old in the Nunthorpe.

I’m very happy for Kingsgate Native, I to know him as a winner actually, only backed him 3 times, each a winning one, best of cause were his Nunthorpe odds 5 E/W paid 520, last was his win just recently, good pay out again. So happy he retires sound, age had been catching up.

    Best Wishes

I like to have a dark horse to watch out for in a sprint race. With The Tatling retired, and now Kingsgate Native it’s all down to dear old Sole Power. Get so fond of these sprinters.

One of the fastest horses in training is Take Cover, might be the sort you’d like Moe. Good as ever at the age of 9. Winning the Group 2 King George Stakes at Goodwood, with a Kings Stand winner Goldream and Abbeye first Marsha and second Washington DC behind him. Also best two British sprinters Mecca’s Angel and Limato only two to beat Take Cover when 3rd in the Nunthorpe at York.
