Love to see L’Homme Presse win this, but I think this is Bravemensgame to lose. Nichollls record in this race is just so good. Also a saver on Millers Bank who should love this step up in trip.

    Bravemensgame 5/2
    Millers Bank 66/1 EW

Joe You put up a tip for Tornado Flyer last year for the KG in a different place…I hope it’s two in a row, but a place at those odds would be handsome.

I think Bravemansgame is a good thing there. Has good form on soft and L’Homme Presse is better left handed. Royal Pagaille for a place.

L’Homme Presse was my idea of The Gold Cup winner at the tail end of last season, and I can see him running a big race here, but sticking with the two Anteposts left.

    Frodon EW 4pls/27’s
    Royal Pagaille 65’s

The track has had 2mm rain in the last six hours and I don’t think they will get any more.

Frodon has a decent record round here and really ought to be making the frame, at a big price.

There’s got to be a reason Envoi Allen is running in this, so he’s my pick.

So don't run, just like the others always do

Hi Sungold, I think it was on twitter, that one. Good luck today.

At the prices it’s Eldorado Allen for me, 25/1 e/w.

L’Homme Presse the most likely winner.

Good luck all, my favourite day of the year, all that Christmas nonsense over with and a feast of racing and footy to look forward to!

I’ve thrown 2 e/w darts at Eldorado Allen and Frodon.

In reality expecting a battle between Bravemansgame and L’Homme Presse. And will Hitman ‘step forward’?
Actually, looking forward to this race; shame more Irish raiders arent present, though.
Best of luck to all :good:

    What an intriguing race.
Willie Mullins is conspicuous by his absence.
Stole this race last year with his John Durkan team.
Part of that team in Ireland as he had most of the field that day was Briony Frost.
When he got here, he knew the Nicholls race plan inside out.
Hopefully Frodon and the rest of Nicholls team runs well today.

I would say the feature of this race is that, in the absence of: A Plus Tard, Allaho, Galopin Des Champs and, dare I say it, Protektorat, it’s wide open.

L’Homme Presse usurped Bravemansgame as favourite when the rain came, Royal Pagaille was a bit of a steamer too.

But Soft is now as bad as it will be and all the money the last 24 hours has been for Envoi Allen and, wait for it, Joe’s beloved Ahoy Senor!

If Ahoy Senor wins, Joe needs to accompany me to Kimble Point-to-Point at some stage to try to identify the next one!

Truly cracking renewal in prospect, despite the aforementioned absences.

I backed Eldorado Allen and Millersb Bank a couple weeks ago in anticipation of this cutting up to 6 runners and their odds halving… shows what I know!

It’s a fabulous renewal with 9 incredibly likable horses. I could back all 9 of them easily and would have probably just watched this one if I hadn’t had my two already.

    Heart is with L’homme Presse.

Put tizzards outsider in the first in a e.w double with Eldorado Allen , despite backing bravemansgame before and since the Charlie hall for this Eldorado is in a load of e.w accas , hope both run big races but that ground does look in L,homme press favour more than Bravemansgame

Times suggest ground is no worse than Good to Soft – favouring Bravemansgame, I think, who likes Good ground.

Paul Nicholls walked the track and says its soft, good to soft in places on the chase course.
