    Early market…..

    https://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing/ante-post-racing/national-hunt/king-george-vi-chase/winner

I always thought I’d be having a proper long range bet on McFabulous for this, but his entry for The Relkeel is enough for me to put a halt to those plans. Current favourite and stablemate Bravemansgame looks vastly superior anyway, and deserves his spot at the head of the market.

I don’t see any reason why Tornado Flyer can’t repeat yesterday’s heroics, and both he and Asterion Forlonges are currently fair prices. At 20’s, Blue Lord is an interesting one, and he might come into this if stepped up in trip this year. I’d have him near the head of the shortlist right now.

Dashel Drasher and Royal Pagaille will be high on my list too.

The two I really like though are the De Bromhead pair, Bob Olinger and Put The Kettle On. 12’s, even this far out, looks worth chancing, while the 33’s is very, very appealing for a horse who might just improve for the step up in trip which is certainly planned for her.

No bet yet, but on the verge of betting that pair, and Blue Lord also of big interest.

    Edit Jan 16

Decided to go early with Bob Olinger today. He’s obviously very good, but the type of horse who’s rarely a backable price for me.

Put a few quid his way, and hopefully he can continue to progress, and go a fair bit shorter for this. If that were to happen, I’d certainly be happy to lay off a few quid to pay for other selections.

    Bob Olinger 22’s

    Cashed out 19 February

Bobby I reckon bravemansgame is perfect for this ,he destroyed ah signor yesterday and outwith Shiskin I reckon he,s one of the best bets for Cheltenham this year

Great shout with the Nichols horse, could almost guarantee he’ll turn up and showed he could handle a very soft Kempton as well.

I’d love to see Shishkin in this; is there any particular reason he wouldn’t stay 3 miles?

More to the point, is there any reason why they need to go three miles?

Edwardstone has plenty of stamina in his pedigree and if he gets properly spanked in the Arkle by whatever Willie sends and has to contemplate Shishkin in the division the following year, he could try the trip.

Then there’s Shan Blue, if he gets over his accident well.

Because 3 miles is more prestigious, more lucrative, and more competitive; compare the KG with the Desert Orchid Chase

I know that he’s a bit mad, but I really like Asterion Forlonges at 20-1. I’ll definitely look for a long range bet in this, and I’m going to with him

I don’t know why but I just can’t take to Bob , I really want to take him on yet yesterday he jumped better and won as he wanted , maybe not the deepest race but he couldn’t do more ….maybe I need to have a word with myself but I reckon I’ll be taking him on

You’d have to think L’homme Presse stands a very good chance of going close in this

Venetia isn’t scared of giving her horses plenty to do and I can see her running L’Homme Presse at Wetherby, Haydock and Kempton before a crack at the Gold Cup. Surely must be eyeing that million pound bonus.

Even for Williams that would be hardcore , despite having my fingers burned last time I may well have another play at Allaho for this , no doubt Tornado will be back , plus as I put up earlier Bravemansgame will most certainly rock up here to
