    The 3 year old colt, collapsed and died of a heartattack in a race at Delaware Park (USA), 18/7/2011

    Thanks for the information regarding King Alpha. I emailed the track, since they did not mention anything regarding his status in the simulcast, but they did not give me any info. It looked like a cardiac issue, but I wasn’t sure. I hoped it was just the heat/dehydration/bad response to medication, and that maybe he pulled through.

    I have watched King Alpha since he was based at Gulfstream Park earlier in the year. I always loved watching him, and he will be missed.
