Dipping into the archives for inspiration once again turned up The MAJESTIC system.

But with recent talk of "tipsters Nap" selections I have put together a hybrid based on both – Tipster Naps and a kind of Majestic: –

All type of races (not just Non Handicaps)

    1.2.3 LTO

    Former Distance winner

    Forecast Favourite (D. Mail)

Napped by an "in profit tipster"

    3.25 Nottingham – JIBAAL FcSp 100/30 :(

    7.50 Haydock – NAHRAIN FcSp 7/4 Won 8/15 :D

The Majestic…. wow!!!!….. that’s a blast from the distant past…. I believe that was from an old mate of mine on here, a guy called Darren…. I wonder if he’s still around….. everybody, give him a shout cos he was always a tad deaf…..

DAZ….. c’mon DAZ, wake up you old pansy…. DAAAAAZZZZZ!!!!!!

    Another one Billion :D

What concerns me about all the "old systems" is why they are still not running

Anyway for your majestic delectation i will source an offering based on your criteria minus the in-profit info. (Who knows – as they never say)
I would actually be against it but for the purposes of the game

    2.40 Yarmouth Whitby Jet 9/4

    Btw Nahrain is Pro-bet today

    Best of luck

    Hatter

    -G’day to you and

    MrE

    as well.

My reasoning behind the "in profit" tipsters is only a way of keeping the number of selections down, however I can only wonder if the selections are better than the "non profit nappers".

    Yes

    MrE

the Majestic must be credited to Darren but I have no idea if he is as you say "a deaf old pansy" perhaps a tad harsh and a little politicly incorrect I would say.

    :D

    Friday

Unable to fill ALL the elements of the required system there is NOT any selections today.

    BUT!

For the fun of it I have found two possibles that meet 3 of the 4 stipulations: –

    Sandown 2.20

    VERBEEK

    @ 7/4 :D 15/8

    and

    Goodwood 6.45

    PUTTINGONTHESTYLE

    15/8 :(

Neither horse having won at the required "D"istance
and so for the "fun" of it will have a reduced 1/2pt stake.

As i thought – mine got turned over yesterday – proves i got some idea though :)

Todays from my end is Sandown 5.05 Grumeti 11/4
I wouldn’t be confident about it & personally only consider if it went above 5/1. One of my new ‘angles’

    Betting for "fun" ?
A wise old stager once told me "Theres nothing funny about losing money" & i am learning the concept at last :D

    Betting for FUN!

    Hi there

    Hatter

    – I have always thought of myself as a FUN better, insomuch as I never really thought I could ever win at this game and providing I broke even (or close) I was having my FUN at little or no cost during my years of dotage.

There is NOTHING funny about losing money

And how right the "old stager" was when he imparted a little wisdom into your direction. This past month I have lost almost 27% of my "playing fund" (I prefer not to call it my bank) and this has never happend before and it has never felt so UNFUNNY as when I calculated the amounts.

    If you read

    MrE

‘s pearls of wisdom as I do he said only the other day when he hits a bad run he packs it all in until things get better.

I think we can all make mistakes and sometimes get it so very badly wrong after all we are human (my excuse) but it is a fool and an idiot who repeats the same errors.

    :D :) :D  Good pick

    Hatter

Here is a thought: – I have gone half stakes without a "D" perhaps it could be worth a punt going half stakes without a napster.

We won’t get rich but it could pay the bus fare back home from the bookies.

Thanks for that bit of praise Billy…. :D but stopping betting when the going gets tough is not my idea, I use it only because of what I learned from a couple of pro’s that I used to knock about with in my younger day….. a pro called Mick Taylor only bets during what he calls his "Golden Period" which is between June and September, he doesn’t even bother to look at them outside of these dates….. the other guy was a certain "Dodger" McCartney who used to frequent the southern tracks, he believed that his success came in runs and if he had a losing run when he couldn’t even get his selection placed, he walked away for a couple of weeks…. he wouldn’t even look at the horses in case he was tempted, he usually took his missus on holiday…. he wouldn’t drop ’em because of a case of seconditis, that’s part of the game, but when all his picks were losing, he kept his money in his wallet….. I think he was a sensible guy……

, does it matter where you learn from just as long as you do in fact learn.

Bad runs etc. as you describe I would think come when the conditions favour the bookie and by walking away for a couple of weeks allows a little time for them to change and so it may be not so much as your picks are bad ones and as this season (for me) is a "horror bag" it simply be my picks do not match the conditions etc.

    A Kind of Majestic (Saturday)

No single selection from todays 46 races, can you believe 46 races.

    BUT: –

    Lingfield 8.40 OUTSMART

again just lacks the winning "D"istance and so will run with half stakes at 11/10 :(
