On Friday’s card at Kempton they will be using the inner loop for the first time since relaying the track i.e. when the 5f race is run.
Looking at the speed figures for last night meeting at Kempton the track is returning to normal, I made the going allowance all over at
+0.12s/f
per furlong, which made the going
Standard
.
AW going allowance table:
Fast +0.50s/f
Stand/Fast +0.18s/f to +0.40s/f
Standard -0.15s/f to +0.15s/f
Stand/Slow -0.48s/f to -0.18s/f
Slow -0.70s/f to -0.50s/fLast night’s speed figures:

August 18, 2012 at 05:35 #410057After Friday’s meeting at Kempton, I found the going to be
+0.10s/f
per furlong which makes the going
standard
.
The inner ring was used for the first time last night after the surface was relayed, without any problems it seems.
Even the Racing UK pundits have finally realised that the going is not standard to slow.
AW going allowance table:
Fast +0.50s/f
Stand/Fast +0.18s/f to +0.40s/f
Standard -0.15s/f to +0.15s/f

August 20, 2012 at 17:49 #410264I see the going description for Kempton tonight is described as Standard to Slow (watering). Have they been watering ever since the new material was added?
August 21, 2012 at 06:28 #410319Kempton’s Monday night meeting 20/08/12 again had the official going as
standard to slow
.
The going last night was+0.07s/f
per furlong, making the going
standard
.
AW going allowance table:
Fast +0.50s/f
Stand/Fast +0.18s/f to +0.40s/f
Standard -0.15s/f to +0.15s/f
Stand/Slow -0.48s/f to -0.18s/f
Slow -0.70s/f to -0.50s/fWhen compiling my speed figures I never use WFA as this corrupts the speed figures, if anybody needs to compare my speed figures against the official ratings, which you can, for 2yo’s add
9lb
, and for 3yo’s add
3lb
, these corrections are valid only for the months of
July/August
.
Example:
Stripped Bear
official rating
50
.
Speed figure 55+9=64
Stripped Bear
improved his official rating by
4 lengths, "14lbs"
Watch the video if you don’t believe it.Yesterday’s speed figures:
06:20 Stripped Bear 5f

06:50 Dynamic Duo 1m2f

07:50 Ziefhd 7f

September 10, 2012 at 23:14 #412727The question is blue brother has any inconsistencies arisen after this period of racing? Have any horses improved where such progression was unlikely?
Do you think it is still ok to use the standard time prior to august 2012 as a standard time for afterwards?
Is what i would like to know is why is the inside of the outer track, significantly lighter in colour compared with the outer?
What have they done to the run in?
Has the inside course been treated any differently?
Where and when or how often has watering taken place?

This was covered in my post of 11 August.
We have been fed a lot of misinformation.September 12, 2012 at 01:30 #412853read your post, i’m still left very confused? My eyes are telling me alot, but I was wondering if we have any information than can be confirmed. I guess no one knows. I see you said that alot of mis information has been fed, but what part is mis information and what is information.
September 12, 2012 at 23:18 #412929and people wonder why British racing is going down the tubes….
October 11, 2012 at 06:54 #416139Kempton’s going allowance last night 10/10/12 nearly went off my going allowance scale.
Tamarkuz
broke the 2yo juvenile course record, when I assessed the going allowance at
0.00s/f
per furlong, his speed rating was
104
, I knew then that the track was riding faster than it has ever been.
After calculating the going allowance, I ended up with a going allowance of
+0.41s/f
per furlong which gave
Tamarkuz
a revised speed rating of
66
, which is only average.
AW going allowance table:
Fast +0.50s/f
Stand/Fast +0.18s/f to +0.40s/f
Standard -0.15s/f to +0.15s/f
Stand/Slow -0.48s/f to -0.18s/f
Slow -0.70s/f to -0.50s/fLast Night’s Speed Figures:
05:30 Hardy Blue 6f 0.41
30
06:00 Spartan Spirit 1m3f 0.41
63
06:30 Living The Life 7f 0.41
35
07:00 Steelriver 7f 0.41
56
07:30 Alraased 7f 0.41
80
08:00 Tamarkuz 7f 0.41
66
08:30 Beat Route 1m3f 0.41
74
09:00 Blue Deer 7f 0.41
61
I await with interest to see what Dave Edwards "Top Speed" makes the going allowance, it has to be over
+0.30s/f
per furlong
October 11, 2012 at 09:35 #416147Any idea why it is suddenly riding so fast?
October 11, 2012 at 15:31 #416191I had it as ‘Fast 12’
Under my system for going/class allowance that means that the average of the 3 fastest races was 12lbs faster than the horse’s BHA ratings
My final figures came out as
05:30 Hardy Blue 6f – 12
06:00 Spartan Spirit 1m3f – 56
06:30 Living The Life 7f – 19
07:00 Steelriver 7f – 48
07:30 Alraased 7f – 87
08:00 Tamarkuz 7f – 68
08:30 Beat Route 1m3f – 71
09:00 Blue Deer 7f – 54all ratings adjusted to 10 stone
October 11, 2012 at 17:03 #416212I have the going at 17lb faster than standard. I have a figure of 93p for Tamarkuz (He was impressive) this includes the 23lb WFA allowence for 2yo’s to bring it in line with official ratings.

Yes it was, the clerk of the course harrowed the track after race 2 slowing the going down
Working out the going allowances for last night meeting 11/10/12 was a nightmare, the first 2 races I had the going at
+0.30s/f
per furlong and after they harrowed the track the going dropped from
stand/fast
to
standard
at
+0.15s/f
per furlong.
AW going allowance table:
Fast +0.50s/f
Stand/Fast +0.18s/f to +0.40s/f
Standard -0.15s/f to +0.15s/f
Stand/Slow -0.48s/f to -0.18s/f
Slow -0.70s/f to -0.50s/fLast night’s speed figures:

October 11, 2012 at 21:38 #416246Ive got ‘slow 10’ for tonight but I’ve only averaged 2 races, Belgian Bill and Wildomar
The other races were either very slow or very fast (Volcanic Wind)
At the moment I have slow 10 for Volcanic Wind which gives him a rating of 109 which would make him Listed or group 3 class. This isn’t out of the question but now that I know the ground was harrowed I’m going to use last nights allowance figure for that one race and that will reduce his rating to 87
I’ve got Belgian Bill on 95 which I’m happy with as I have recent ratings for him of 93, 91, 90 so he’s running around the same as he’s done before
It’s not ideal to base the allowance on two races but there we go………….
October 11, 2012 at 21:46 #416247Pretty poor card for me at Kempton yesterday.

Steelriver
84.01

The only standout from the card would be STEELRIVER who has run to around a mark of

Today’s meeting different story.

Probably exposed myself a lovely three year old here to the masses, run to around

and WILDOMAR also very useful.
October 12, 2012 at 08:02 #416275If I thought working out the going allowance at Kempton last night 11/10/12 was a nightmare, welcome to the dark side when I tried to assess the going allowance at
AYR
.
Due to rail movements and a totally different going allowance on the straight course compared to the round course, I am working towards 3 going allowances because the rain continued to fall thoughtout the meeting yesterday
