Very impressed Darren. Always looked in control of it today, slick at some of the fences, clever when wrong. More severe tests ahead but think he`ll win more than he loses.
Was surprised that he was a chestnut, for some reason. Don’t know about the horse, but was pretty impressed with the trainer today.
Did it nicely under a confident Carberry but I’m not sure it was much of a race. Roi Du Mee is fairly moderate and Blazing Tempo has clealy had enough after being on the go for nearly 12 months without a break. Surprised that Willie didn’t give her a break until the spring after Listowel.
Very impressive, jumped like a cat. Roi de Me is a reasonable yardstick. Could be anything.
I liked him. He’s definitely a chip of the old block, may never reach the heights of Kauto Star but will probably end up a safer conveyance than Kauto could be at times. Some of his jumping was breathtaking and he took as much as 3 lengths out of the field at 2 of his fences.
What’s even more interesting is the time of the race.
The Grade 1 chase was slow by 27.80s
The Handicap slow by 13.70s
Kauto Stone Slow by 8.6
None of the hurdle races or the bumper came close to his time so it was the best by a mile on the day.
Might just be another PN superstar in the making
