Joining a syndicate

Hi Guys

I’m new here but hoping to be a very active member in the future.

I am thinking of joining a racehorse syndicate. Has anyone else here done this before or currently does this?

I have seen one where I would own a 1/20th share in a horse. This would be a racing partnership with 2 people being the registered owners. I would love to, but can’t afford a joint ownership between 12 or less people.

I’m not going to be in it with the idea of making money, it would just be the fun of owning a race horse and going to the races as an owner. Any of the 5% prize money would just be a bonus.

What are your experiences and is there anything I should watch out for before I commit?

Andrew – we’re looking at starting a Racing Forum Owners club which will be designed to provide the experience of racehorse ownership for a relatively modest cost. I’ll get in touch.
