Truly bloody awful and to witness the aftermath; I can’t imagine what the Hunt family are going through.
July 10, 2024 at 23:21 #1701465There are no words that adequately describe the pure evil of this act or the deep shock and sadness it has caused.
My sincerest condolences to John, his surviving daughter, and their family and friends.
RIP Carol, Hannah and Louise
July 11, 2024 at 12:19 #1701484Condolences to John,such a terrible thing to have happen,and live through.
Again I say condolences to him family & friendsJuly 11, 2024 at 12:38 #1701485Cannot even begin to imagine the pain and sadness this evil senseless act has brought to John Hunt and his family. I didn’t realise he had another daughter and thank God she was spared and will bring comfort to her dad as he will to her.
RIP Carol, Hannah and Louise
Condolences to all the Hunt family.🥲Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...July 11, 2024 at 14:11 #1701489you just sit here numb thinking of John and his family
RIP
July 11, 2024 at 15:53 #1701497Obviously horrendous news poor chap, doesn’t bare thinking about losing so many loved ones in the same incident, some comfort in that he has another daughter and they’ll need each other to get through this without question. I have to say I found the tribute from Richard Hoiles at start of ITV’s coverage a nice touch, sounded really sincere and he did really well to get himself together afterwards to do the commentary, testament to his professionalism on what must be a really tough day for those who know John.
July 11, 2024 at 20:53 #1701514July 12, 2024 at 05:00 #1701561The thing that committed this heinous act, is the brother of a convicted murderer.
What a Family!
July 12, 2024 at 09:35 #1701573All the commentators have been together for decades. Just desperately sad.
September 9, 2024 at 18:01 #1706691John Hunt returned to work today, commentating at Brighton.
It was good to hear him again. Maybe being back at work will help.
Best wishes to him.
September 9, 2024 at 19:19 #1706693Agreed CAS probably showing more courage than I would in his situation.
The more I know the less I understand.
September 9, 2024 at 19:23 #1706694Great to see/hear him again. Takes a lot of courage to come back after such an event.
I hope he finds whatever he needs to recover just a bit, if possible.March 7, 2025 at 07:09 #1722012It must have been horrendous for John Hunt to endure listening to all the evidence over the last few days. Given the inadequate little nasty piece of work had pleaded guilty to all the other charges, it looks like he entered a not guilty plea to this charge as a final act of spite.
The law must be changed to order defendants to be present in the dock to hear the verdict and sentence. Why should this (expletive deleted) not be in court? Why is he allowed to get away with such cowardly and disrespectful behaviour? Given he has paralysed himself and is in a wheelchair, he was hardly in any position to resist. The little (expletive deleted) in Southport pulled the same stunt as well.
March 7, 2025 at 09:04 #1722020The trial was moved to Cambridge court as that was more suitable for a disabled defendant. This meant far more travelling for the Hunt family. Should surely have been wheeled into court.
I believe he pleaded not guilty to rape as he thought he may have got an easier time inside, if found not guilty.
Apparently he checked the racing fixtures for the day prior to the murders and sent a text a John purporting to be Louise, after he had committed the acts asking when he would be home. Late was the reply. Maybe he considered waiting for John if he hadn’t been late.March 7, 2025 at 09:49 #1722024should be hung by the neck or people could fire crossbows at him
March 7, 2025 at 11:55 #1722028His brother was also jailed for murder in 2018….. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-44004012
I can’t see why capital punishment wouldn’t be an option in a case like this (Hunt family) with unequivocal guilt of premeditated murder. Hopefully he never gets to see another day as a free man and is mentally tortured about what he has done to them and himself.
March 11, 2025 at 15:17 #1722667The piece of filth that murdered Carol, Louise and Hannah Hunt has been sentenced to three whole life tariffs. And it was still too cowardly to attend court.
As Mr Hunt said in his impact statement:
“The screams of hell, Kyle. I can hear them faintly now. They’re going to roll the red carpet out for you.”
