I get the impression the vast majority of French Jumps racing is at distances up to 2m6f.

There are races at longer trips, some high profile ones too, but they seem pretty few and far between.

You don’t routinely get 3m+ contests on French Jumps cards the way you do on their UK counterparts.

I always bear this in mind when looking at French Jumps breeding – in some cases, there’s a lack of stamina in a pedigree, but sometimes it’s simply a historical lack of opportunity to exhibit stamina.

Ruby, it’s on his page on the RP website they’re often wrong but hopefully not here.
Seventh foal; brother to French 2m-2m6f hurdle/chase (inc 2m6f Listed) winner Flute Des Champs, half-brother to 1m3f/1m6f winner Star Des Champs; dam 1m2f-11.7f Flat/2m1f hurdle winner, is granddaughter of 1m3f winner

As usual HDLG, you refuse to actually read what i say.

I said THE PRICE IS CRAP.

My post was wrong: Jack’s is correct” apologies. I use Horseracebase, whose form covers only UK & Ireland. I did not realise that this also applies in its pedigree database – ie, it lists only offspring that has run in those two territories. A valuable lesson learned for me.

    All the best.

Thanks Jack, thanks Louise. I’ve found the above mentioned names on the paris-turf.com page, but with limited access.

It takes a big man to apologise, especially if he’s been up since 5am.
