I have never really been one for following jockeys too much, but those who follow the best around will be in the money this week.
Ryan Moore is clearly the best in Europe, if not the world and whilst you have to have the horse underneath you, his positioning and timing this week has been special.
For me, James Doyle is clearly the 2nd best jockey in the country and whilst not having the same ammunition as Moore this week. I think he has also produced some first class rides this week.
These two are superior to every other jockey in the Country……….I just wish I had backed some of them :(

June 18, 2015 at 18:19 #1106628Ryan Moore’s ability is second to none and added to that is he’s riding with so much confidence. But trainer form is a massively more important aspect of form study. Ryan is riding for in form trainers. I do my own ratings for how each trainer is doing at that particular moment in time (nothing to do with how good I think the trainer might be). AOB currently has a 10 out of 10 rating – which occurs less than half a dozen times a season. Had it not been for luck in running he’d have had another two winners in Sir Isaac Newton and Kingfisher. Adds a lot to the chance am willing to take about any of his runners… Trouble is – with this week being high profile – bookies have now reacted accordingly, slashing odds. Going in to their races Roger Charlton was a 9 out of 10, Gosden 8. Majority of winners come from in form trainers (7+).
