My one real interest for Cheltenham 2020 is Battleofdoyen in this , a monster of a horse who I can’t wait to see jump a fence , what’s everyone’s thoughts …..when I watch him I see touches of Denman
October 13, 2019 at 00:56 #1467727Think that’s a fair shout at this stage.
Elliott rates him highly, so there has to be a good chance if he’s right, that he’ll head here or RSA.
October 13, 2019 at 07:48 #1467737All roads point towards the RSA for battleoverdoyen HDLTG. He is regarded as a future gold cup horse and starts off in the drinmore. I would be very very surprised if he ended up here.
October 21, 2019 at 10:34 #1472206Elliot in his stable tour today suggests there aren’t many he’s more excited about as a novice chaser this year.
Another thing i noticed, which is probably just a one-off + not worth taking too much notice of, the picture in the paper today, he looked to make a much better shape than Samcro did when schooling lol.The other i like for this, but it might be the RSA is Bright Forecast.
Superb run in the Ballymore last year, less experienced than Champ.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!October 22, 2019 at 00:43 #1472289Samcro is the one for this imo
October 22, 2019 at 06:53 #1472296Do you have a link of Samcro/battleoverdoyen schooling Jack?
October 22, 2019 at 10:11 #1472311Charlie i don’t- it was in the RP yesterday just a picture so probably just jumpign to conclusions!

October 25, 2019 at 16:59 #1472735i hope that BATTLEOVERDOYEN looks good at galway, but same with GALVIN! will be interesting
October 29, 2019 at 16:10 #1473141Have backed samcro at 16s with bet 365. Over priced if back to his best. Cash out option is key if he crashes
October 29, 2019 at 16:18 #1473142But if samcro bombs out, My main fancy is Allaho at 16s
Had small bet on mister fisher @ 50/1 EW
October 31, 2019 at 11:52 #1473354Samcro makes his debut over fences tomorrow at down royal
November 1, 2019 at 15:16 #1473472Solid start over fences for Samcro. Jumped slightly to the right at times but there wasn’t much pace on. Think they’ll be happy enough with that.
November 1, 2019 at 15:24 #1473473Yes he made a nice shape over his fences
I’d imagine the drinmore would be the next target like it was for delta work last year
November 1, 2019 at 16:01 #1473475I’m quite a fan of Reserve Tank, and I took the 14/1 on offer last
night (as in Pat’s ante post thread). I see he’s dropped a couple of points to
12s this morning (nothing to do with my money) but I think that’s still fair.
He did nothing but improve all last season, and whilst he was beaten in 2nd at
slight odds on in his comeback at Chepstow he ran well enough but got the last
all wrong and in any case he looked a tad on the bulky side to me, but this was
clearly never a target. He will come on a lot for the run I reckon. I know Tizzard
has had this race in mind for some time and I think he has a great shout.November 12, 2019 at 14:12 #1474657Faugheen entered in a beginners Chase for Punchestown on Saturday. Good few option for Mullins in that race so he mightn’t run but Punchestown seems like the ideal track to start him over fences.
November 13, 2019 at 20:35 #1474745I quite fancy RESERVE TANK aswell, Although i hear he needs Good ground?
