100 gets you a min of 38 quid. 38% interest on your cash……..still time to get that second mortgage.
They say anything can happen in racing but Frankel get beat? Not a cat in hell’s chance.
May 15, 2012 at 18:14 #404252if anyone can beat that monster i’ll take my hat off to them.
May 15, 2012 at 19:17 #404260Frankel/Excellebration forecast, obviously.
The most interesting thing would be the role of the pacemakers in this.
I wonder if they will try and get Windsor Palace to slow it up let Bullet Train go off by himself.
May 15, 2012 at 21:58 #404271Thats an interesting point – just imagine in your worse nightmares if Coolmore employed some sort of dubious team tactics and got Frankel beat in questionable circumstances. The balloon would go up in unprecedented style.
May 16, 2012 at 00:14 #404283So You Think has Excelebration’s measure,Last time over a mile in a big field in oz he bolted and was 5 lengths in front turning for home(million dollar Group 1),got mowed down the last bit in the time of 1min33.9,been first up 4 times for three wins and a nose second. He has had time to acclimatise there and o’brien knows him better now.If there is a chink in Frankel’s armour he is the only horse in this field who could test.In any case i would be surprised if he at least didnt make Frankel work pretty hard for a victory. If Frankel wins it will be his hardest test,it wont make him a legend but he will be on the way to prove it.
May 16, 2012 at 03:36 #404299Rumour is they aren’t they running SYT in this – why?
May 16, 2012 at 05:20 #404303Officially they want to give him more time and run him in that tin pot Group 1 in Ireland that he won last year.
You can all probably work out the real reason.
"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
May 17, 2012 at 01:05 #404388Yes, the reason is he can’t beat Frankel, on exposed form anyway. It does nothing for his stud value (is he going to have one left after the Breeder’s Cup/Dubai Cup debarcles) in running 2nd. he needs to win races. You’l find out the same here as we have learnt with Black Caviar – pretty soon other connections are sick of running for 2nd prizemoney and choose to dodge, thus the fields that he will beating by year’s end or next year, will be poorer than what he was doing at the end of last term.
May 17, 2012 at 15:05 #404443Has anyone thought that Frankel could beat himself? If he knocked himself on the gallops he could do it on the course. As somebody said anything can happen in a race.

Yes. Let’s look on the bright side as usual hey Andy!

May 17, 2012 at 19:03 #404467There are always two sides and I like to be on the other one.So lets hold off on the cheers.
May 17, 2012 at 19:06 #404468Fair enough – I suppose that is where the name comes from. Yes I’ll hold off til 3.45 Saturday.

May 18, 2012 at 11:22 #404544Isn’t it just the British thing – some people wishing to see a champion brought down to earth with a bump just for the hell of it. At least the Aussies, for all their boomerang waving bombastic drivel, want their superstar mare to remain unbeaten.

May 18, 2012 at 21:18 #404636Frankel won’t be beaten by this lot. He’s in another parish to excelebration and he’ll prove it again tomorrow.
May 19, 2012 at 00:54 #404675I have seen horses go into the underground tunnel to enter the track and never come out to run in the Breeders Cup. I have seen horses go into the gate to compete in the Guineas and never come out alive. So I am not pessimistic just realistic.
